March 12,2013 Dear Neighbor: A zoning proposal is presently before the Dallas City Council which if adopted will have a profound and adverse impact on the Old. Preston Hollow Neighborhood your neighborhood. If approved, the land development application will change single family residence zoning to a lighted multi-purpose athletic field at the southwest corner of Inwood Lane and Walnut Hill. It will destabilize our neighborhood. Despite opposition from each property owner adjacent to the proposed athletic field, the applicant, Ursuline Academy, has mobilized many voices from outside our neighborhood in support of this dramatic change. Right now is the time we all need to speak out in opposition to the: Eight 45 foot tall lights 22 foot high netting along Inwood Intrusive noise Additional traffic The proposed facility is not just a soccer field, which was proposed and rejected by the City Council 11 years ago. The pending proposal is for a multi-purpose lighted athletic field, that will most likely be in use 4-5 evenings per week during much of the year. (Please review the attached drawings) It will have a profound impact on the quality of life in the area and studies show it will diminish nearby property values.

But there is another compelling reason to act we should all stand united in opposition to this unprecedented change of Old Preston Hollow zoning from single family residence to institutional or commercial zoning!
