Memorial Scholarship.This year, we will be awarding four scholarships for $1,000.00. Recently, Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey vetoed a bill to raise the minimum wage,which included an annual cost of living increase. This cost of living increase would be determined by the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) for that period of time and this percentage would have beenadded to the established minimum wage going forward. What would have been the advantages or 
disadvantages of raising the minimum wage? What effect do you think it will have on New Jersey’s
economy and the half million workers presently on minimum wage?
