When cars moving in oppositedirections meet, one driver usually has to come to a stop and allow the other driver to pass.While some may find having to stop and let oncoming traffic pass inconvenient, the end result isslower moving traffic and fewer collisions. This is a tangible safety benefit and a good reason touse 25 feet wide streets for neighborhood greenways.
