Gorgeous Geek Chapter 7: An Innocent Boyfriend

Chapter 7: An Innocent Boyfriend

Tiffy! Breaking news! Breaking News! The miserable leader of the Asian Gossip Girls broke her sad eyes from her black binder and cell phone. Her right hand touched her Winnie the Pooh charm once before she stood up straight and stared down at Jennifer who was panting and gasping for air. Yes? asked Tiffany, a bit annoyed. The Beast is back, said Jennifer with terrified eyes as she cuddled herself. Alejandro? asked Tiffany, a bit uncertain. Who else? asked Jennifer, climbing up the stairs and hugging Tiffany to her. I'm so scared, Tiffy. Protect me. If Alejandro is after you, said Tiffany coldly. Even I cannot protect you. But- Even the whole football team cannot protect you against him, said Tiffany, rubbing the shaking Jennifer on the head. There is no going back once Alejandro has picked you, but there's no worry Jennifer since he's not interested in Asian girls most of the time. Wrong, Tiffy, said Jennifer, bolting up now and throwing her arms around. He's been sighted near the courts and has kidnapped a Vietnamese freshman! Her name? asked Tiffany anxiously now, grabbing a hold of Jennifer's shoulders. Spring Nguyen, said Jennifer with a spooked face. Alejandro interested in a freshman? Are you sure? All the tennis team people there were witnesses, said Jennifer, frowning. I heard Jin was trying his hardest to save her from Alejandro. He threw himself on the Beast's back but lost in the end. Poor Jin... That girl must have been important to him then, said Tiffany, thinking now and pacing back and forth now. Spring Nguyen? He was calling her Lolita though, said Jennifer with a firm nod. She must have been cute, said Tiffany, deducing this suddenly. Jin only befriends girls who have an angelic, young face, like Rin Hamada. From what I hear, said Jennifer, remembering the data she collected from the boys. She was indeed cute. She had no idea who the Beast was. I feel so bad for the girl. She has to learn the hard way, said Tiffany mercilessly. Her first week at a new high school and already she has to endure the Beast. What an unlucky freshman. I was so surprised when I heard that Alejandro was spotted on campus, said Jennifer, counting her fingers now. Where has he been for the past two days? I heard he was at a night club and bought all the dancers there, said Tiffany, checking her rumor notes now. And had fun with them at Las Vegas for a week. Really? asked Jennifer, gawking. I heard he got into a fight with a corporate leader but Alejandro won his case in court. Still, he was held in prison for a day or two. And yet, said Tiffany, shaking her head. He's here. I am more concerned on the outcome of the freshman, said Jennifer, placing her hands on her cheeks and shaking her head in dismay. Because we all know Alejandro's reputation when it comes to girls. Yeah, I know, said Tiffany, sighing deeply. Alejandro left his sweetheart back in his home country and went to America as an illegal immigrant. When he got here, he ditched her and went out with multiple girlfriends at once. All of them knew but they couldn't say anything because they were more afraid of him than anything else. Alejandro

picked out his girlfriends and forced them through terror to be with him. Even after he left them, they couldn't do anything like report him for sexual harassment or anything. They were fearful for their lives. Most of the time though, said Jennifer, playing with her purse now. He goes after white or Hispanic juniors. Why this freshman? He doesn't like his girls too young. Maybe she's that pretty, said Tiffany, offering an answer. He doesn't like his girls pretty or cute either, said Jennifer, groaning and hitting the purse against her head. He likes them sexy and hot. I don't understand this decision at all, not even when I try to think like Alejandro! It's all right Jennifer, said Tiffany, opening her notebook and checking her page on Alejandro. All we know is that this girl will never be the same again after Alejandro is done with her. Her name is Spring Nguyen right? Yes, said Jennifer, breathless. A freshman. Nickname is Lolita. If she returns, I'll ask Eunice to take a picture of her, said Tiffany, pulling out a glittery purple pen and started scribbling down onto Alejandro's page. So his latest victim is a freshman girl under the name of Spring Nguyen. We'll have to wait for her to come back to make her a page in our notebook. Is Eunie busy with yearbook again? asked Jennifer with wide eyes, drawing circles on Tiffany's page for fun. Hopefully, not somewhere with Kristian at least, said Tiffany, rolling her eyes. I know, said Jennifer, creating broken hearts with her hands again. I don't know why but Eunie seems to be infatuated with Kristian despite our warnings. Kristian is like that, said Tiffany, clearly irked now. He probably has the most girls infatuated with him out of the junior class. He's the master at what he does. It's a good thing he chose that Juliet Heart girl for now. Right, said Jennifer, relieved. Eunie is safe. Eunice is stupid, said Tiffany, rolling her eyes. I'm surprised Alejandro didn't take Jezebelle instead. Besides her looking semi-Asian, she acts White. Hell, she fits his choice in girls very well. Admit it, Tiffy, said Jennifer, tossing Tiffany a devious look. You want him to kidnap Jezebelle instead so you can have Jin all for yourself. Stop teasing, said Tiffany sternly, slamming her binder on top of Jennifer's head. I am only stating facts regarding Jezebelle. She really is something though, said Jennifer dreamily. What? asked Tiffany, angry. It's true though, Tiffy, said Jennifer, shaking her hands in front of Tiffany. How many girls can act like that without shame? I bet I can call her all kinds of names and she will simply cock her head up and take them as compliments. What a bitch, said Tiffany, annoyed. I don't get why Jin dates her. Come on, Tiffy, said Jennifer with a pat on the shoulder. Jin is a boy too. Boys dream of girls like her to play around with. Jin's not like that, said Tiffany confidently. She must be blackmailing him into being her slave. I'm sure of it. I won't argue with you, Tiffy, said Jennifer with a shrug. Anyways, we better keep our eyes out for Alejandro, said Tiffany, hugging her binder and leaving Jennifer behind now. He is back at Wilson High as our King. He will probably seek one of us out for information without paying the fee. If he comes, just give him what he wants and get rid of him as soon as possible. A-All right, said Jennifer, pale. Why don't Alejandro simply take Jezebelle already? asked Tiffany to herself, searching the streets for any sign of her mother's car. I rather have a horrifying monster

terrorizing the school rather than a fearless, calculating bitch. If I have to pick between them, Jezebelle is definitely the worse of the two evils. Why? asked Kristian, who happened to be sitting on the steps of the school. He had about five minutes before he had to go for detention. Care to elaborate, Taffy Tiffy? Kristian, said Tiffany, acknowledging the boy with distaste. Because I rather have a beast who everyone already know is a beast than a bitch who acts sexy and lures men into her trap without warning. You're amusing, Taffy Tiffy, said Kristian, licking his lips at her. Jealousy is scary. Shut up, you bastard. Marry me, Taffy Tiffy. Fuck you, said Tiffany, turning her head away from him. Taffy Tiffy, you are as stupid as always, said Kristian, standing up now with a cocky smile. I know girls like Tilly. You want Alejandro to kidnap her? That dumb shit? Tilly will have him around her pinky in no time and then we will have two monsters working together against the rest of us. I don't know about you but I value my life. Like I care, said Tiffany quickly. All I care about is Jin's safety. So, you're saying you rather have her boss around a beast like Alejandro rather than a nice guy like Jin? What have you been smoking? I don't care, said Tiffany, apathetic. I want Jin away from her. I'll save him, said Kristian, placing his arm across her shoulders with a chuckle. Think like Tilly for a moment. Will she be satisfied with Jin after meeting other males at our school? More intelligent? More cunning? But none as handsome, said Tiffany in retort. She doesn't need an intelligent, cunning male like you. She needs a softie like Jin to order and show off to the world. Wow, Taffy Tiffy, said Kristian, making a kissing noise near her ear. Did you just call me intelligent and cunning? I'm flattered. Get the hell away from me, said Tiffany, throwing his arm off her. I will never forgive you for what you have done to Julie. Never. Julie... said Kristian slowly, thinking. Ah! She transferred, didn't she? Enough, said Tiffany at last, catching sight of her mother at last. It's not like you care anyway, Kristian. Bye loser. Watching Tiffany disappear inside her car, Kristian licked his lips and picked up his backpack along with his tray of food Cory ordered. He checked his cell phone for the time, only to gasp that he was now one minute late to his favorite time of the day- detention. Glancing over his shoulder at the same car driving away, Kristian chuckled in amusement. Taffy Tiffy, said Kristian to himself, entering the building now. You are the only virgin I would never sleep with. Scary woman. ******************************************* What a dumb day, said Jezebelle, hiding her face under her hat. Jin did not glance toward her because he was busy watching the red light, praying for it to hurry up and change green. He wanted to run inside and take a nap. Why are you so quiet, strawberry shortcake? I'm thinking, said Jin softly, tapping his fingers against the stirring wheel. Your shitty video games again? asked Jezebelle, rolling her eyes. Of Lolita, said Jin bitterly. Oh, grow up and move on, said Jezebelle heartlessly. Jin had to bite his lip to keep himself from saying anything in return. Sulking won't bring her back, you idiot. How do you live with yourself? asked Jin at last. Jezebelle raised her eyes from underneath her furry hat at him. Do you not feel a thing? She idolized you. A lot of people admire me from my former high school, said Jezebelle, shrugging. I don't have time to worry about all their well-beings.

It's not even that, said Jin in retort. You don't care about anyone's well-being but your own. Stress brings winkles, said Jezebelle, forcing her attention out the window. I don't know why I even bother, said Jin with a deep sigh. Then, don't, said Jezebelle through gritted teeth. It's annoying. I don't need you telling me what to do after thinking about another girl for the past couple of hours or so. You didn't even watch me practice tennis after school with the team. I told you already, said Jin, exasperated. I had Gamer's Club. A supportive boyfriend would have came, said Jezebelle, clearly annoyed. When did you consider me your boyfriend? asked Jin, tensing up considerably. No, you're right, cinnamon roll, said Jezebelle, wrapping her arms in front of her chest stubbornly. She unlocked the door. I'm leaving since I don't want a complete geek driving me home when we have no relationship whatsoever. I'm driving, said Jin, shocked. He pulled over immediately. Are you insane? I wasn't going to leave when the car was in motion, dummy. I'm crazy, not insane, said Jezebelle, opening the door and stepping out on the sidewalk with a shake of her hips. I don't know where the fuck I am. I hope someone come and kidnap me already. It's better than staying at your crappy house and waiting for my retard of a father to return. Come on, Fi, said Jin, almost pleading. Stop joking around. Do I look like I'm joking to you, Mister Nice Guy? asked Jezebelle, placing her hands on her hips now and glaring at Jin. Let's not play this game, Fi, said Jin with a shaky smile. What do I have to do to convince you to stay in the car? Stop brooding around, said Jezebelle, annoyed. I can't take it. All right then, Fi, said Jin with a soft smile. Come back in. Glancing around the ugly, trashed area, Jezebelle decided it was in her best interest not to run around by herself and returned to her seat next to Jin. The Korean boy was satisfied and sighed in relief when she closed the door and stayed in place obediently. He was so happy that she listened to him that he would hug her if he could. However, he didn't want his eyes clawed out so decided against such an impulse. If I didn't know better, Fi, said Jin, laughing softly at his grouchy girlfriend. I would have assumed you were jealous. And you called me insane? I know this won't happen in real life but, said Jin, arriving in front of the garage but not budging from his seat. He smiled softly upwards. I just want to see you blush out of jealousy for once, Fi. Hell, any blushing will do. That's cute, darling, said Jezebelle, amused much to Jin's surprise. And what makes you think you, a sweet vanilla, can achieve the impossible, even in your dreams? Because I dream my own dreams? asked Jin awkwardly, confused now. Pervert. That was uncalled for, said Jin, clearly upset at the name calling. How was that perverted at all? Have sex with a girl and you'll know, fresh meat, said Jezebelle with a sinister smile before she jumped out of the car without warning. When Jin did the same and came up to her, she hit him lightly on the head. Not when you're with me of course. I wouldn't dream of it, said Jin when he noticed Jezebelle's free hand. Hey Fi... What do you want now, banana split? asked Jezebelle, facing him. Let's try holding hands, said Jin, gazing at her free hand. I thought you couldn't get any more random, said Jezebelle, irked. But this just blew all your randomness from before to smoke. I'm sorry for not being there for your challenge match, said Jin, frowning sadly. To

tell you the truth, I really want to cheer you on but the last time I tried that, you told me to get lost. I thought I was in the way so I didn't want to distract you. Okay... said Jezebelle, uncertain. Your point is... If you wish, I'll come to all your practices from now on, said Jin under his breath, a bit frustrated with his words. It's better that way anyway. I rather take you home myself than have you take the metro alone. I can take care of myself, thank you very much, said Jezebelle, insulted. I wasn't trying to be insulting. I wasn't asking for your protection either but here we are, said Jezebelle, keeping her eyes to the sidewalk. What do you want me to do then Fi? asked Jin, forcing her to face him with his hands on her shoulders. One minute, you're mad at me for not watching your practice. Another minute, you're irritated at me for wanting to watch your future practices. You should win Slowest Boyfriend of the Year award, said Jezebelle, shaking him off her violently. In Jezebel, Pres knows fully well that Julie has to wear a white gown to the ball and yet, he's too busy with work to accompany her. Let's say that Julie has to beg Pres to come with her and he agrees to it, will she be happy about it? Hell no. I'm not Pres, said Jin immediately. Even if you were to do something outrageous as wearing a red gown like Julie, I would never break up with you and you know it. Jezebelle did not say anything in response. Jin went on. I understand my mistake though. I won't make the same mistakes again. I will watch you play. I'll stop thinking of Lolita. Now, you're just being insensitive, said Jezebelle, scowling. What do you want then? asked Jin, shaking her. Tell me, Fi. You can think about her all you like, said Jezebelle with a pout. Just don't let me know about it. Oh Fi, said Jin, suddenly happy and relieved. He grabbed her hand without warning. I misjudged you then. You are an angel in disguise in swear. You are such a freak! Normal couples hold hands, don't they? asked Jin with an innocent look in his eyes. I hate it, said Jezebelle, trembling slightly. Why? asked Jin, worried. Did something happen between your ex and you? Fuck no, said Jezebelle, trying to jerk her hand away. She seemed frightened at the idea of holding hands. It's too cute for my taste! I hate puppy love with a passion! What? Why? Because it's stupid and short-lived, said Jezebelle, digging her nails into Jin's skin to free herself. It's as useless as you. Let go of me hot shot! Your hand is warm, said Jin suddenly with a soft smile on his face. What the fuck are you babbling about now? asked Jezebelle, no longer struggling. I always thought Fi had cold hands because of her attitude, said Jin admittedly, gazing down at their entwined hands. Jezebelle followed his gaze. But your hand is as warm as any other person. You are human after all. No shit Sherlock, said Jezebelle with a roll of her eyes. And because you are human, said Jin, tightening his grip on her hand. I have faith in you once more that even as you are now, when the right time comes, you will do the right thing. You do have a conscience Fi. I know it. Good luck with that, clam chowder, said Jezebelle, tapping her racket case on the top of his head with a look she would give a crazy person. It's nice being trusting and delusional. Haven't been there. Haven't done that. Let's head inside already, said Jin with a satisfied smile. With our hands like this? If you like holding my hand so much, said Jezebelle, annoyed at Jin now. She suddenly pulled out the handcuffs from earlier out of her backpack and trapped their wrists

together. How do you like it now, huh turnip? Why did you do that? asked Jin, gasping. To prove how annoying it is, said Jezebelle, tapping her foot now and shaking the cuffs. For me, holding hands with you is like being handcuffed to the bars of a jail cell. I get your point, said Jin, panicking. Free us already. Go on, love, said Jezebelle, urging him on. Free us if you hate it so much. Why me? Duh? You have the fucking key? This was when they both paled considerably. In a matter of minutes, Jin denied he had the key last. Jezebelle freaked out even more than Jin when she insisted that he was the last one who had the keys, which he never returned it to her. In return, Jin countered that he indeed did give it back to her after the Eunice incident. Fuck, said Jezebelle, groaning and hitting her head with the racket. Why are you so fucking careless? Where did you last put the key? With you, said Jin, checking his pockets now. I don't have it! I swear! I don't have it either, you bozo, said Jezebelle, searching frantically in her backpack. It was nowhere to be found. Shit. What do we do now? Go back to school and look for it? If you lost it before first period, said Jezebelle, barking at Jin now. What are the chances of us finding it again a few hours after school had already ended? We can always try, said Jin determined. Go search it for yourself then, said Jezebelle, turning her voice on high volume. I can't, said Jin, holding both his and Jezebelle's wrist at the same time. We're stuck together remember? Great, said Jezebelle, rolling her eyes. Just great. Let's think this through calmly, Fi, said Jin in a shaky voice. Inside. Wait a second- Before Jezebelle could voice her opposition, Jin had already ran for the door along with her who was attached to him now. He fumbled with the keys for a while before he managed to unlock and allow both of them entrance inside. However, his mother was in the kitchen and came out to greet them. In unison, Jin and Jezebelle hid their hands behind their backs and smiled innocently. You two are standing so close to each other, said Mrs. Song with a smile. We're closer than ever, you know? asked Jin with a fake laugh. Actually, said Jezebelle, also laughing. We're so close that we can't seem to stay away from each other. I am glad then, said Mrs. Song, gathering her purse and everything. This is how a boyfriend and girlfriend should act around each other. Of course, said Jin, using their connected wrists to tug Jezebelle closer to him. She gave him one glare before she beamed at his mother. I can't seem to leave her side! I know huh? asked Jezebelle innocently with a warning glare. It's like we're attached to each other. How nice, said Mrs. Song, passing by them on her way to the door. They moved in a way that hid their hands behind their backs. I'll be leaving now. Remember to cook food for Jezebelle, all right Jin? Take care, Mom, said Jin, moving in to kiss his mother on the cheek briefly. I'll make sure to do the laundry today too. Good Jin, said Mrs. Song proudly. Take care of Jezebelle. She's in good hands, said Jin with a smile. He received a brief jab of pain due to Jezebelle's elbow making contact with his sides. Good bye Mom. The two of them waved and watched impatiently for Jin's mother to wear her shoes

and leave. Jin and Jezebelle stood still for a few minutes and waited until they heard distinct sound of a car driving away. Then, hell broke loose on the couple. I hate you so much, said Jezebelle, hitting the handcuffs between her and Jin against the nearest wall. Unlock it somehow! Do something! I'm not a criminal, said Jin calmly. Let's think this through. I need to change, said Jezebelle, throwing a fit. I can't wear my school clothes at home! Oh my God! How am I supposed to take a bath now? Look what you've done! I didn't do anything, said Jin, defending himself. It was your idea to handcuff us. But it was you who lost the key! No, you lost the key. I returned it to you. Fuck this shit, said Jezebelle, dragging Jin along with her as she headed upstairs. I don't care how. I'm changing no matter what. In front of me? asked Jin, red now. Does it look like I have a choice in the matter? asked Jezebelle with glaring eyes. And besides, it's not like seeing me naked is different from watching porn. I don't watch porn, said Jin, blinking. That's what Boyfriend Number Two say too, said Jezebelle, forcing Jin inside her bedroom before herself. The truth of the matter is all boys watch porn. I found out about this a long time ago. There's no use hiding it. It's not nice making generalizations, said Jin, sitting down on her bed and pouting. It's also not nice losing things I give to you, wish bone, said Jezebelle, sitting down next to him. It took her a second to suddenly curse out loud. Wait a second! Fuck! I can't change at all! Why not? asked Jin, keeping his eyes away from her. Hello? asked Jezebelle, jingling the handcuffs attached her right wrist to his left wrist. I can't pull a shirt over your hand, idiot. You can change your skirt though, said Jin with an offering smile. That was the wrong thing to say because Jezebelle started smacking Jin on the head with her racket again. Furiously, Jezebelle took off her hat and threw it on the bed with a grumpy frown on her face. While Jezebelle brood over how she had to go for a day without changing or taking a hot bath, Jin thought of someone to help them. Desperate times call for desperate measures, said Jin, punching numbers in his cell phone. Jezebelle eyed him warily. The other person picked up. Hello? Oh la la, said Bo on the other line. A rare phone call from Jin. I'm driving home right now so speak to me, my good friend. Come to my house this instant, said Jin loud and clear. Oh my, said Bo, surprised. My King is so aggressive today. Before you say anything, I swear those rumors about me checking your girlfriend out are completely false. You were checking Fi out? asked Jin, upset now. Jezebelle fluttered her eyelashes at Jin, obviously flattered. Bo, you know how much I hate that! I am very sensitive when it comes to Fi! Jin and Fi sitting in a tree- Stop that Bo, said Jin, losing patience and blushing at the same time. I need your help so come- Jin was interrupted when Jezebelle started making some weird noises while laying down on her bed and holding her teddy bear to her with one arm. While Jin watched her with confused eyes since he had no idea what was going on, Bo gasped on the other line. Jin, you take things too seriously, said Bo, laughing loudly. The three-some talk earlier today was a joke! No, said Jin, flushing bright red now. Jezebelle continued with her sounds. We're not doing what you think we're doing!

Oh, I get it now, said Bo. Jin could imagine him grinning deviously. I don't have any advice for you, at least not over the phone. How about I go home, grab my translated Karma Sutra, and come over right after? Wait, what the heck is 'Karma Sutra'? asked Jin with a dropped jaw. Stop it, honey, said Jezebelle, tugging Jin's free arm and stealing his phone right after. I don't want other company! Say bye to Bo now! Gaping at her, Jin watched as Jezebelle turned off his cell phone and threw it against the wall without warning. When he tried to retrieve it, she refused to budge and kept him in place. Then, he found himself on the bed with her hands pinned on his shoulders. He gazed up at her with wide eyes. I thought it was some random friends of yours, said Jezebelle with fiery eyes. But it was fucking Giant. There is no way in hell we're letting him know we're handcuffed together. The teasing will last until your senior year! That's true, said Jin, rethinking his decision. I rather he thinks we're having sex than being handcuffed together, said Jezebelle, obviously irked. At least, sex is normal. Handcuffed together isn't. You have an odd definition of 'normal'. Shut up, slow poke, said Jezebelle, throwing herself off the top of him and checking the address book on her cell phone. I know who to call so you better not make such rash decisions. You have a cell phone, said Jin, sitting up straight now. Captain Obvious is at it again, said Jezebelle, rolling her eyes at him. Let's exchange numbers, said Jin happily, shaking her arm. I already have your number, said Jezebelle, throwing her hair back and clicking on the call button. I saw your number in the Black Binder- Jezebelle placed a finger over Jin's lips before he could respond. And I don't give away my number to anyone. Not even you, orange juice. Besides, it's better if I can call you whenever I want but you can't call me since my cell phone is on private number. Isn't that just great? I am beginning to feel like we're in a very one-sided relationship, said Jin softly. Or no-sided relationship at all, said Jezebelle with a short giggle. Then, she turned away from him. Finally! You bitch! What took you so damn long to pick up? Another man slave? asked Jin, placing his head on her shoulder. Quiet slave, said Jezebelle, snapping at him. She laughed and returned her attention to the cell phone. No, dear, I wasn't talking about you. You're my love after all. Anyways, you know where I live now right? A sugary sweet voice, said Jin under his breath. Jezebelle gave him a warning glare. And who's this lover? Yeah, that's it, said Jezebelle, ignoring Jin completely. Hurry your ass and come here, bitch. This is a fucking emergency so you better move it. Jezebelle listened for a second before she laughed evilly. Oh no. I didn't kill anybody yet. I'm just having trouble with handcuffs and yeah. When you get here, knock as loud as you can. The doorbell sucks ass. Jezebelle stuck her tongue out at Jin, who protested against this. Last time, this girl came over and rung the doorbell and we were being all kinky in the room so we didn't hear it. So, the moral of the story is bang on the door like your life depends on it. Actually, your life does depend on it if you don't fucking get here by today. You got it? Bye dear. You're really chatty on the phone, said Jin, observing her closely. Wow, said Jezebelle, sliding her black phone closed. What did you expect me to be? To be nice and let the other person do all the talking? Oh right, said Jin, nodding. You like the sound of your own voice better. Heck yes, said Jezebelle, satisfied. If I can make a soundtrack with only my voice, I'll listen to it all day.

Anyways, said Jin, feeling awkward. Is that how you usually talk to your friends over the phone? In that kind of bossy attitude? I don't make friends and I was definitely not talking to my friend, said Jezebelle, pouting. She pinched Jin's cheek. My lover is coming. You said you weren't a cheater, said Jin accusingly. Tsk tsk, said Jezebelle, ruffling his hair. I'm not cheating on you, duckweed. You'll see when my lover arrives. Oh boy... ******************************************* After band practice today, Rin thought about everything that happened earlier on her walk home. She was hugging three heavy books to her chest. Somehow, she managed to get a response out of Jin during AP English Language. Her stubborn pride wouldn't allow her to apologize for ignoring him during first period. After all, he ignored her for quite a while since Jezebelle became an important person in his life. He didn't even come to their usual hangout for nutrition. Of course, she did not like this one bit either. No apologies. No fights. No interaction whatsoever. How did her friendship with Jin became like this? When it came to her friends, he was number one. She placed him before anyone else, and this was how he treated her? Jin is an idiot, said Rin out loud, hurt and emotional. Boys are always like this once they get themselves a girlfriend. Is that so, said Vance quietly, who was next to Rin's side this entire time. He was still dressed in his track clothes, which consisted of a polo shirt and shorts. Yeah, said Rin quickly, glancing at Vance's pale skin once before moving her eyes on his neutral face. Have you ever went out with a girl before Vance? No, said Vance, taking note of a group of giggling girls that ran passed them. I don't particularly like people, regardless of gender. Ah, said Rin, nodding in understanding. Do you hate the world or something? Not really, said Vance, keeping his eyes on the girls still. The world is fine by itself. It's the people inhabiting it that I don't like. You really have a poor opinion of people, said Rin with a frown. So do you, said Vance with an amused smile. I don't hate people though, said Rin, blushing slightly. I hate stupid people. They spew nonsense and make horrible decisions. People can't be trusted with secrets either. If I like someone, the whole school will know about it within a day. That's nice, said Vance, stopping at the street light with Rin. The giggling girls who was ahead of them were crossing the street anyway. I have met people like that for so long that my expectations of people as a whole are so low to begin with that I can't find myself being disappointed. That's one way to look at it, said Rin with wide eyes. Those girls are brilliant too, said Vance, indicating at the girls who were now stopping traffic by crossing the street on the wrong light. They shouldn't have done that! cried Rin, noticing the girls at the other side at last. They could have been hurt! What if someone were to accidentally run over them? Does it matter, said Vance, biting his lip. Less people in this crowded world. Vance... said Rin, widening her already open eyes at him. You... Are you scared now? asked Vance, walking at the first sign of a crossing light. Rin hurried to catch up with him. No, said Rin, a bit worried. I'm just... anxious on your behalf. That's a first, said Vance, digging his hands deeper into the pockets of his shorts. Even though I admittedly hate a lot of people, said Rin, grabbing onto Vance's arm to stop his walk. I don't dismiss them without giving them a chance first.

Like me? asked Vance curiously. Exactly, said Rin with a smile. If we never talked in Spanish, we would never become such good friends right Vance? Friends, said Vance bitterly. What is the use of friends when they leave you eventually... it's not like they help you in any meaningful way... Does that mean I'm not your friend? asked Rin, upset. No, said Vance quickly, sighing. You're more than a friend to me. Rin gaped at him. Vance? My car is packed over there, said Vance, pointing at the other side of a second intersection. I'll be on my way then. See you Rin. Bye, said Rin, waving after his back. Thank you for taking me this far. It's fine, said Vance, glancing back at her once. Good bye. Without budging, Rin watched Vance crossed the sidewalk. After that, he went on his way with his hands in his pocket and his eyes ahead without turning back. Rin frowned after he disappeared and dropped her eyes to the ground. Soon enough, she caught her slipping books and hurried to her house. Vance's back looks so sad, said Rin, thinking of what she just saw. Is there nothing he can be happy over? At last, Rin arrived at her house. Rin held her books on top of her knee along with her left hand in an awkward standing position to free her right hand to knock on the door. Happily awaiting for her mother to answer, she gawked at the sight of Bo in casual clothes. Grinning down at her, Bo took her books and went back inside after a quick greeting. The hell? asked Rin out loud, slamming the door shut. When Rin stomped into the kitchen, she gasped to find her mother and Bo eating across from each other at the dining table. From the amount of food left, Rin knew they just began, probably waiting for her first. Suddenly, she noticed something. Scam Bo, said Rin acidly, pulling the chair from underneath Bo. He was now on the ground. Rin's mother gasped. This is my seat and my house. You're not welcome here. Rin, you are so rude to our guest, said Mrs. Hamada, maneuvering around the table to Bo's rescue. I taught you better than that. He's not our guest, said Rin with intense eyes. He's a moocher. Are you all right, Bo? asked Mrs. Hamada, concerned for the tall boy. Thank you, Mrs. Hamada, said Bo, squeezing her helping hand. As beautiful and gentle as ever- Rin smacked his back with the side of the chair. Bo closed one eye in pain but grinned nevertheless. Oh, my Queen is calling me. Yes Hamada-sama? Get out of my house! Your wish is my command, said Bo with a swift bow to Rin's mother before he left the kitchen without another word. That was easy, said Rin, huffing and throwing herself on her seat. He's getting out of hands nowadays. That's not nice, Rin, said Mrs. Hamada in a scolding voice. Bo is going through a tough time in his life and yet, you send him out without dinner. I don't care, said Rin, wrapping her arms in front of her chest. Why is he even here anyway? He should eat dinner at his house, not mine! His mother is currently fighting with his sister again, said Mrs. Hamada with teary eyes. Rin's scowl disappeared now as she gazed at her mother. Bo told me that he heard them from outside the house and decided it was best to eat somewhere else. He said he wanted to spend time with you today to catch up on his tutoring so I offered him dinner. He's probably lying to gain pity, said Rin, frowning. He doesn't have family problems! He's always freaking grinning! Rin, you are so cynical, said Mrs. Hamada, moving to the side windows and looking

outside. Unlike you, a lot of people keep their feelings on the inside. Bo is one of them. He likes to stay cheerful, probably for your sake more than anyone else's. Mother, said Rin with a sigh. Let's eat dinner already. But Bo is still outside, said Mrs. Hamada with a frown. What? Running up to her mother, Rin peeked outside to find Bo sitting on her steps with that everlasting grin on his face and a content expression on his face. Rin frowned at this. Bo did not look like he was having family problems at all. If she did not know him well enough, she would assume he was having the time of his life. However, she noticed that his hand was gripped tightly around his car keys and cell phone. There was something definitely wrong with her. Hurry your ass inside, said Rin when she opened the door to Bo. The older boy was astounded at the sight of her despite the grumpy look. And eat, you moocher. But you ordered me to get out of your house. Your Queen has changed her mind, said Rin in a strict voice. Thank you, Hamada-sama, said Bo happily, standing up and passing her. However, said Rin, sticking her leg out to stop him from walking. You are not sitting in my seat. Is that understood? Loud and clear, said Bo with his trademark grin. Gladly, Bo went to the seat next to Rin and sat down with a warm grin at Rin's mother. The woman was so happy at the sight of Bo keeping her company once more. Sighing, Rin tried to smile at Bo before she poured some condiments out in a tiny bowl to go along with her roasted chicken. Then, she added two spoonfuls of red chili in her condiment. As for Rin's mother, she did the same without the chili. Lastly, Bo did the same. However, much to Rin's surprise, he kept adding spoons of red chili. Do you know what you're doing? asked Rin curiously, eying another spoon. I am adding red chili, said Bo plain and clear. He kept adding until the condiment turned bright red. What is the matter, Hamada-sama? Shouldn't you be eating your food? That's really spicy, said Rin, picking up her pair of chopsticks. The more the better, said Bo, grinning. I like everything hot and spicy. That is so like you, said Rin, laughing softly in amusement. Do you still drink warm, milk coffee before you go to bed Bo? Hamada-sama, said Bo with wide eyes. You remember! Of course, said Rin softly. You are the only person I know who uses coffee as a means to fall asleep. You're so odd. Hamada-sama shouldn't make such judgments, said Bo, picking up his bowl of rice. She is the one who always picks peas out of her fried rice. Rin frowned. They're nasty, that's why. Nasty as your temper today? asked Bo innocently. Rin kicked Bo under the table at the comment, in which he simply cringed slightly. I stand corrected. It's all Jin's fault, said Rin bitterly. He's distancing himself from me. Are you sure it's not the other way around, Hamada-sama? asked Bo, finishing his first bowl of rice already and helping himself to a second one. You are the one who is mad at him for reasons unknown first. I have perfectly good reasons, said Rin angrily. I don't know if you figure this out yet, Hamada-sama, but boys like Jin and I are kind of stupid. We're not mind-readers either so... You are able to read my mind, aren't you? asked Rin suddenly, staring at him with hurt eyes. Bo blinked in surprise. Jin has known me way longer than you. He should be able to do the same, right? Jin's at an important position in his life, said Bo, clapping a hand on Rin's shoulder.

We should give him some space. That's what best friends do. I know but, said Rin, upset. I don't want to lose him either. If worse comes to worse, said Bo, moving his hand down her back. You'll always have me, your one and loyal Knight. More like, said Rin, grabbing a hold of Bo's hand and twisting it despite her mother's protest. A closet pervert! Does that mean I can check your closet, Hamada-sama? asked Bo hopefully. Get out of my house! ***************************************** Are you deaf or something? asked Jezebelle angrily at Jin, pushing him towards the door. Someone is banging on the door, cheesecake! Again, said Jin, leaving the room and jerking Jezebelle with him. We're stuck together. I can't answer the door by myself. Oh right, said Jezebelle, groaning. I don't want to exercise this much though. And you call yourself a tennis player? asked Jin with a sigh. You think I like to exercise this much either? Tennis's a different story, said Jezebelle with a pout. Anyways, said Jin, flushing slightly now. He stopped at the bottom of the stairs. I decided that our fight about your lover was stupid. Duh, said Jezebelle, placing her hands on her hips. Darling, you can't win debates against me. It's not possible. I'm sorry? That's not what I mean, said Jin, facing Jezebelle with a frown. I understand that I'm probably not the boyfriend of your dreams or of anyone's dreams for the matter but I'll keep trying my hardest. Neither of us want to be in this relationship in the first place, I'm sure, but since we're here, we should make the best of it. Don't you agree Fi? You're right, said Jezebelle. I bet you can't even ask a girl out correctly. That's probably true, said Jin with a timid smile, unashamed. And I wouldn't ask such a geek out in the first place, said Jezebelle, shrugging. Yeah, my point exactly. That's why I should be able to do what I want right? asked Jezebelle, dragging Jin closer to the door. I mean... what if I like another boy while I'm with you, salad dressing? Are you going to force me otherwise? No, said Jin with a sort of helpless expression on his face. I don't mind if you like another guy. I don't mind if you have multiple lovers aside from me as long as I'm your official boyfriend and can be of use to you. I want to be the only one who can protect you as well. I don't want to ask for anything else. You sound like a defeated soldier, said Jezebelle, elevating a fine brow. I thought with a year ahead of us, said Jin slowly. I would have been able to bring you happiness Fi no matter how inexperienced I am, but now, knowing that you have a lover already sort of defeats the whole purpose... You dork, said Jezebelle, grabbing a hold of the door's handle and flinging the door open to reveal Wendy in a gray hoody and black, leather pants. This is your competition. Yo, said Wendy, pushing her way in. Leader, you're like cramming my style. I mean you fucking scream at me and force me to drive for ten fucking minutes to get here and yet, you leave me waiting in front of the door? What kind of shit is this? Wendy? asked Jin, regaining his voice at last. You're Fi's lover? Not literally, said Wendy, throwing herself on top of a couch with her legs on top of the coffee table. Leader talks to us with various names to leave our identity anonymous over the phone. You did that on purpose, didn't you? asked Jin to Jezebelle, irked. Do what, sweetie pie? asked Jezebelle innocently.

Hey, cut the chitchat, said Wendy from the couch. Why am I here again? Fix this, said Jezebelle, showing the handcuffs to Wendy. Is this some kind of game you two are playing? asked Wendy, observing the handcuffs closely. This is pretty extreme for a couple who haven't gone out very long. We didn't do this on purpose, Wendy, said Jin immediately. It was an accident. How careless of you, Leader, said Wendy with a smirk. Shut up, Willis, said Jezebelle with a roll of her eyes. I didn't think he would lose the key to them. Well? Can't you do anything about it? Hey Leader, said Wendy, holding the handcuffs up. What gave you the idea that I would know how to unlock this without a key hm? I heard your father's a cop, said Jezebelle with an innocent shrug. Oh man, said Wendy, laughing now. She had her arms tight around her stomach. You snooped around for info on me eh? Should I be delighted or annoyed at this? Does it matter? asked Jezebelle, annoyed. Make yourself useful, Willis. These handcuffs are fine, said Wendy, feeling the handcuffs with a delightful smile on her face. Are these real Leader? They're so sturdy. I don't buy fake handcuffs for fun, dear, said Jezebelle with a proud smile. Oh man, said Wendy with glowing eyes. These are for real? Shit! These are real? asked Jin at last, gaping at Jezebelle. What the heck? Why are you two so surprised? asked Jezebelle, sticking her bottom lip out. You think I'll actually use fake handcuffs? This is the real deal. It's scary to think that my leader carries around real handcuffs, said Wendy in awe. You think that's scary? asked Jin dramatically at Wendy. I'm her boyfriend! You two talk such nonsense, said Jezebelle, wrapping her arms in front of her chest, which dragged Jin even closer to her. Go to Mexico and ask a police officer for a pair of handcuffs. They'll just hand it out to you like free samples or something. You're so lying, Leader, said Wendy with a wicked smile. You stole one didn't you? No, Willis, said Jezebelle, irked. If I refuse to shoplift, there's no way in hell I would try to steal handcuffs from police officers. Dude, said Wendy, leaning forward with her sparkling eyes. My dad's a cop and he won't give me a pair of handcuffs to play with. How the hell did you get your hands on one without stealing huh? That's easy, said Jezebelle, smirking. Get yourself arrested and break out of jail. Really? asked Jin with a gasp. You are so gullible, said Wendy, amused at Jin. Obviously, she didn't get herself arrested only to get her hands on some nice handcuffs. Isn't he cute, Willis? asked Jezebelle, pinching Jin's cheek like a child. He believes everything I say. I want a boyfriend like that, said Wendy, clicking her tongue. How about I find you a better boyfriend and you give me Jin? I'm not an object, said Jin, frowning. Fuck no, Willis, said Jezebelle with a smirk. Unless you pay me first. Pay you? asked Wendy, laughing loudly now. If I had that kind of money, I'll get myself a gigolo, Leader. No thank you. Gigolo's can't cook though, said Jezebelle, sitting down next to Wendy and leaving Jin for the armrest. And he can't do laundry and go grocery shopping either. You're such a housewife, Jin Song, said Wendy, pleased. I am not a housewife, said Jin, dropping his head. Oh shit, said Wendy, sitting up straight now. You know what? I had this crazy picture in my head for a second. I like crazy things, said Jezebelle, placing her other arm around the other girl.

Dude, I just imagined you as a housewife, said Wendy, laughing so hard that she had to hold herself again. Wouldn't that be so wicked? And likely to never happen, said Jin, amused at the image as well. That's not funny, Willis, said Jezebelle with a frown. I hate housewives the most. We, women, have a brain too. We can go out and work our ass off instead of sitting around at home and living off our husband's income. That's the worse life ever. I didn't expect that from you, said Jin in surprise. I thought you like the easy life, Fi, but I guess I was wrong about you. Living off the money my parents make is a whole different matter, said Jezebelle, elevating her eyes upwards. However, I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror if I have to become some submissive wife at home just because my husband makes a hell lot of more money than me. I know what you mean, said Wendy, frowning. What if he decides to have like outside girlfriends? We can't do shit about it since we're living off him. Exactly, said Jezebelle, shaking her head. I rather be poor and free rather than rich and imprisoned in my own house. Is this what they call girl talk? asked Jin suddenly, realizing what this was about. Yo Jin Song, said Wendy, peering at him. You're a bit slow. Sorry, said Jin with a timid smile. No worries, dude, said Wendy with a wave of her hand. There are a lot of issues concerning women these days that you probably don't even know about. I know, said Jin slowly. But thanks to Fi, I am starting to understand. Hey, Leader, said Wendy, moving up to Jin and placing her finger underneath his chin. How much for him eh? He's adorable. I was joking, Willis love, said Jezebelle with a pout. I wouldn't sell him, even for a million dollars. I'm touched, said Jin with sparkling eyes at Jezebelle. Because it's not everyday I find such an obedient slave, continued Jezebelle. You always ruin it Fi, said Jin with a frown. Anyways, said Jezebelle, slamming Jin's head against the couch while she smiled up at Wendy. What should we do about the handcuffs? Any brilliant ideas Willis? I say you two are better with the handcuffs in tact, said Wendy, snickering. Willis, do you want me to show you excruciating pain? asked Jezebelle, glaring. Jesus, take a joke yo, said Wendy, returning her attention to the handcuffs. Though Dad and I don't talk much, I can ask him for you, Leader. I mean you two have school tomorrow and everything so that'll be hard with you two stuck to each other. Not counting how many people will ask what happen too, said Jezebelle, sighing. I'm starved though, said Wendy, indicating at the door. You want to go buy food? What happen to dinner? asked Jezebelle at Jin angrily. I was going to start when we got home but then, said Jin, pointing at the handcuffs. This happen so now I'm behind schedule in cooking. Fuck, said Wendy. I can't wait that long. Let's just go buy food. I have a better idea, said Jezebelle with a smirk. The two watched as Jezebelle checked her phone for a number. Why buy food when we can eat somewhere for free? I like the sound of that, said Wendy, after checking her wallet. Jin noticed that she had a white skull on her black wallet. Then afterwards, we can go see Dad together. Yeah? Good plan Leader? Jin Song? Yeah, whatever, said Jezebelle, waving it off at the two before she disappeared behind the wall with Jin on the edge of it and started talking to the other person. So, Jin Song, said Wendy, smiling at Jin. This is probably the first time we talk in person, right?

Yeah, said Jin, returning the smile. I always saw you around before though. Same, said Wendy, amused. Though, I must admit, said Jin, observing her from top to bottom. Wendy had chains attached to her belt and pockets of her black pants. As for her wrists, she wore the same spiky bracelets as before. She even got multiple piercings for her ear. I always thought you were a preppy schoolgirl. I was stupid, said Wendy, sticking her tongue out in distaste. Why the hell did I change my appearance and personality for a fucking guy? You mean Jordan? asked Jin with wide eyes. I hate his guts so don't say that name in front of me. Sorry, said Jin quickly. I really had no idea how much you changed for him. It's so dumb. Seriously, said Wendy, sighing and staring at the nearest window. When you like someone, you do such useless things like dressing up and putting on blush. Before you go to school every day, you take a long time to pick the perfect outfit and do your hair and face, all because you want some guy you like to recognize you. I had no idea, said Jin sadly. But do they ever notice? asked Wendy, irritated. Fuck no. But you do it anyway because you like that person enough to change yourself, even when you hate your new look and personality in the process. It's rough being a girl isn't it? I don't know much about boys, said Wendy admittedly. But I rather be a boy if it takes less work than what I've been through for the past year. I know this is selfish on my part, said Jin, becoming timid now. But I wonder if there's a day when Fi will try this hard to impress me. Leader? asked Wendy, chuckling. Don't count on it. I know, said Jin, laughing softly. But I can be wishful, can't I? Even though I only met Jesse personally today, said Wendy, shaking her head. I have four class with her since the second day of school. I know she's the type of girl that dresses nice and spends a lot of time on make-up. Oh? asked Jin curiously, even though he sort of knew this himself. But not to impress boys like me, said Wendy with a shrug. She does it to make herself feel superior. She does everything for herself and herself only. I know it might be selfish but I believe that makes her a happier person than most of us. Yeah, said Jin, agreeing immediately. She really likes who she is. Her self-esteem is way up there somewhere, said Wendy with a chuckle. There's no doubt about that, said Jin, smiling. Anyways, Wendy, even though I am still shocked at your personality change, I like your new or should I say original personality better. You don't have to work hard to become someone you dislike for the sake of someone else. You should do what you feels make yourself happier, like Fi. Well-spoken, Jin Song, said Wendy, ruffling his hair in a friendly manner. I am glad for you around. I think Jesse's a stronger person with you around. Really? asked Jin with wide eyes. I don't know about you but, said Wendy with a wink. I think she wants to be Miss High and Mighty around you to protect you, which is odd because it should be the other way around, but meh, this is Jesse we're talking about after all. She breaks all social norms. You can say that again, said Jin, reddening slightly. I wonder if what you say is true... that would make me very happy... Hey you two, said Jezebelle at last, sliding her phone shut. Let's head out. I'll drive then, said Jin happily. No, you're not, beef steak, said Jezebelle, jerking Jin back from heading out the door. Willis, you drive. He's in no position to drive with our handcuffs.

Oh right, said Wendy, noticing the handcuffs again. I'll drive then. You don't drive like Fi, do you? asked Jin shakily. I'm an excellent driver, said Wendy, confident and assertive. I just hate waiting for slow cars and stopping for those stupid yellow lights. Jin smiled weakly. I see... ***************************************** All right, Bo, said Rin, using her teaching ruler on Bo's shoulder. He was seated at her desk with her right behind him. We've been working on calculus for a good hour now. Break time? asked Bo hopefully, peering up at Rin. No warm coffee though, said Rin sternly. Last time you did that, you fell asleep. Of course, my Queen, said Bo, standing up and stretching his long arms. Hamadasama, why did you let me reenter your house twice? I heard from Mother about your family, said Rin quietly, laying down on her stomach and flipping through the pages of her Physics book. If you don't mind, we can talk about it, Bo. I didn't want you to worry, said Bo, flopping down next to her. I'm not worried, said Rin reassuringly. I'm just curious. You know I have two older sisters, said Bo, grinning and laying his head on her pillow next to her. My oldest sister is attending Brown University and my second oldest sister refuses to attend college and is already out in the work force. Yes, I heard about your sisters, said Rin admittedly. My eldest sister is obedient to Mother and Mother works hard to pay for her college funds, said Bo, shifting in his position closer to Rin. As for my other sister, she and Mother are always arguing so Mother refuses to pay for her college funds. That's harsh, said Rin with a frown. My family is very strict when it comes to my sisters, said Bo with a shrug. I guess the benefit is that they don't pay attention to me as much. Does your second sister fight often with Mrs. Sungwoo? asked Rin carefully. Too often, said Bo calmly. But I am quite used to it by now. What do you do when that happens and you can't escape? asked Rin sadly. There is only one thing I know how to do in that type of situation. And that is? Smile like nothing has happened at all, said Bo, grinning broadly at her. You are too simple for your own good, said Rin, turning on her back and wrapping her arms in front of her chest. You haven't learned your lesson at all. What lesson may that be, Hamada-sama? asked Bo curiously. The reason why Joyce broke up with you, said Rin loud and clear. You knew? asked Bo, gaping at her now. I don't have concrete evidence, said Rin admittedly. But I have reason to believe that my theory to her sudden breakup with you holds true. How interesting, said Bo, as carefree as always. He smiled pleasantly at Rin. Do tell, Hamada-sama. What brilliant theory have you come up with this time? I won't tell you, said Rin coldly. Figure it out yourself. But I don't think, said Bo quickly. You and Jin think for me. Lame excuse, said Rin, smacking Bo across the head with a pillow. This is why I told you that I won't make the decision for you regarding anything anymore. With every decision I make for you, you rely on me for future ones. I am not your brain and you are not my muscle. Get that through your thick skull Bo! I will get it through as you command, my Queen, said Bo when he laughed at her angry glare. I mean, I will make choices on my own. Sorry for relying on you so much. I don't mind, said Rin slowly, flushing slightly. It's just sometimes there are

decisions that you have to make yourself. Then, said Bo, poking Rin in the shoulder. May I decide to stop learning calculus for today and instead, explore the wonders of your dresser? You know what? asked Rin, pulling Bo by the ear until he was seated back in front of his calculus book. We're spending an extra hour today because of that remark. There are such things as wrong decisions too you know! But Hamada-sama, said Bo, cocking his head to the side. You said you won't make decision on my behalf anymore and that I am free to do what I wish. It's like a Master releasing her slave. You have arguments? asked Rin with raised eyebrows. She picked up her teaching ruler and smacked it against her hand. Against your tutor? Ah, I give, said Bo, returning his attention to the book. I know a lose-lose situation when I see one. Rin? asked Mrs. Hamada from outside the door. Rin sighed loudly and opened the door for her mother, who was carrying a tray. I brought cookies and milk. Warm milk? asked Bo excitedly. Yes, said Mrs. Hamada with a soft smile. She held up a glass to Bo. I microwaved the milk to a nice, warm temperature. May I live here? asked Bo, accepting the glass of milk and drinking it down in one gulp. I can live in the garage or something. Why not live in the same room with Rin? asked Mrs. Hamada with an innocent smile on her light pink lips. Mother, said Rin in a growl, taking the tray from her mother. Good night. Good night, Rin, said Mrs. Hamada, petting her daughter on the head. She beamed at Bo. Good night, Bo. If you want to, stay over and keep Rin company. I also have extra, new toothbrushes if you need it. Mother, said Rin, repeating in the same voice. Shouldn't you be resting now? Oh yes, said Mrs. Hamada, checking the time on Rin's alarm clock. It's just so nice to see you and Bo getting along again. I wish Jin was here to join in this sleepover. Mother! All right then, said Mrs. Hamada with a soft laugh, turning around now. Please go to bed soon Rin and hopefully Bo. Without waiting, Rin stomped over and pushed her mother out the door before she closed it and sighed deeply. She turned around to find Bo in his seat with twinkles in his eyes. Rin jerked a brow upwards before she forced Bo around on her flexible armchair so that his eyes were focused on the calculus book. You are not sleeping over, said Rin through gritted teeth. You hurt me so, Hamada-sama, said Bo, picking up his pencil. And here I thought we could finally have some alone time at your house without Jin around to disturb us. No sleepovers unless Jin is here, said Rin, irritated. Next time, I suggest we bring Fi as well, said Bo happily. Hell no, said Rin with fiery eyes. No! Absolutely no! But Jin is sleeping with Fi anyways, said Bo, shrugging. When he noticed the horror in Rin's face, he clapped a hand over his mouth. I did not say that. Yes, you did, said Rin, grabbing him by the collar and pulling him up. You better explain to me this instant what you mean by that, Bo Sungwoo! Breathe, Hamada-sama, said Bo with his hands up defensively. I want answers, said Rin, pushing her face up against Bo. Now! Before you do anything violent, said Bo in his usual calm, cheery voice, gazing into Rin's angry face. I must remind you that Jin is a boy who is driven by his hormones at this age and Fi is a hot girl who is living under the same roof as him. Plus, she wears really short

skirts so it's not like it's hard to- Pick up that calculus book, said Rin in a deadly calm voice. She grabbed a black sweater and wore it quickly. We will continue our lesson at Jin's house until Mr. Song comes home from work. I really don't think it's any of our business what Jin does with his new, hot, and very seductive girlfriend, said Bo, closing and picking up the calculus book nevertheless. You're not helping, said Rin, kicking the door open. Oh dear, said Bo, following Rin out of her room and down the stairs. He watched her writing a quick note on the kitchen counter and then wearing her tiny shoes. I'm sorry Jin but if a fight were to start between you and Hamada-sama, I might have to side with my Master... Stop mumbling, Bo, said Rin, throwing Bo's shoes at his shoulder. You should have told me earlier. You know how close I am to Jin! Jin's a big boy now, said Bo, helping Rin out the door. He can take care of himself, I'm sure. He's also innocent and nave, said Rin, stopping in front of Bo's car. It's my duty as his best friend since forever to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. Isn't it normal for teenage couples to have sex? asked Bo with a shrug. You don't understand the seriousness of Jin's situation, said Rin, grabbing a hold of Bo's arm and glaring into his eyes. You think someone like Jin will have condoms stashed somewhere just in case? You think someone like Fi will take birth control pills? Abortion just in case? asked Bo innocently. Get in the car, said Rin in a deadly voice. Understood, my Master, said Bo, running over to the driver's side. Before he unlocked the door though, he glanced back at Rin. Are you sure about this Hamada-sama? I don't think those two want to be disturbed right now. Bo, said Rin in a humorless voice. If you don't freaking unlock this car right now, I will make sure my foot goes up your ass. Got it? The Song's house? asked Bo with a grin. Hurry up already! ********************************************** Stopping the car in front of an iron gate, Jezebelle, Wendy, and Jin gaped at the sight of such security around this large plantation. They were at a wealthy neighborhood that contained humongous mansions with vast backyards and front yards. However, compared to all the houses they passed on this street, this was undoubtedly the largest. What is with the security gate? asked Jezebelle out loud while Wendy drove closer to the gate. What's up with rich people? You are Dad's boss's daughter, said Jin, releasing his seatbelt. I assumed you would live in a mansion like this. Not really, said Jezebelle, narrowing her eyes considerably. Sure, my house is much larger than that house you call a home, tofu, but it's nothing compared to this. Hello? asked a sweet, feminine voice from the black box near the gate. Wendy smiled softly. Hey, it's me- Hey you, said Jezebelle, screaming over Wendy's voice. Sweetie, this is Jesse. Open this stupid, black gate right now or else, I'll reveal to the whole school about your crush on Kristian Shiratori. A-All right... Blackmail, said Jin, shaking his head at Jezebelle when the gate opened. You didn't have to do that you know. You could have asked her nicely. I don't think nice is in Leader's vocabulary, said Wendy with a snort and chuckle. Yeah, fuck that, said Jezebelle with a satisfied smile on her face. I like my

methods better. It's funner. Yes, it's very fun to threaten people indeed, said Jin with a sigh. Took you long enough to agree with me, honey ham, said Jezebelle, ruffling Jin's hair like an obedient pet. Seriously, said Wendy, laughing loudly while driving the car closer to the mansion. How are you two together in the first place? You guys are so incompatible. This is coming from the girl who has a huge crush on Jordan Greene, said Jezebelle daringly. Jin gasped at Jezebelle. Wendy's eyes hardened considerably. What are you going to do to me bitch? Bitch slap me? Fi, cut it out, said Jin, worried that the two would start fighting. You'll like that, wouldn't you Leader? asked Wendy with a smirk. I'm sorry but I'm not lesbian, unlike you. Even if I'm lesbian, said Jezebelle, amused. I wouldn't want to date a Jordan admirer like you. Former admirer, said Wendy in correction, turning off the indignation at their stop. Whatever, said Jezebelle, opening the door and tugging Jin with her. Keep on admiring Jordan in secret for all I care. No can do, Leader, said Wendy, jumping out of the car and clicking on a button to lock all doors. I already found someone else to admire. Who? Me? asked Jezebelle, feigning shock. No, said Wendy, attaching to Jin's arm without warning. I'll steal your boyfriend. Bring it on, girlfriend, said Jezebelle, amused more than irritated. Stop it you two, said Jin, forcing both girls to the front door. Jin rang the doorbell. We're not here to fight. We're here to visit Juliet. More like steal her food, said Wendy with a roll of her eyes at Jezebelle. As brilliant as that may be Leader, I feel uncomfortable. We all know visiting her comes first and food comes second, said Jezebelle quickly. Hello... said Juliet shyly, opening the door to greet her friends. Juliet was wearing a classy light pink dress with frills and sparkling white slippers. Her permed, brown hair was pulled up in an elegant manner, leaving curls around her shoulders. She was even more beautiful in the lighting of the house than in school. Hey sweetie, said Jezebelle, pushing past Juliet. Bye sweetie. Where's the food? Visiting comes first eh? asked Jin, shaking his head. Hey Juliet. Hello... said Juliet shyly, glancing at the ground several times. Where is Spring? Oh, said Jin, dropping his eyes to the ground. Well, she's... she's been taken... By her mother, said Jezebelle quickly, elbowing Jin to the side hard. Wendy went hysterical with laughter. They are shopping at the mall right now. That Spring. She always shops until she literally drops from carrying all the bags that tire her small body. Fi, she's not that gull- Wow... said Juliet, smiling softly and playing with her brown hair. She should have asked me to come with... I hope she buys some nice clothes and shoes for herself... About the food, said Jezebelle, searching the place now with Jin by her side. Oh yes... said Juliet, leading the way to the dining room. I asked my chef and cooks to prepare more than enough for everyone... Sweet, said Wendy the minute her eyes landed on the sparkling chandelier above the dining table and the amount of food. I want to live here so bad. Help yourselves... said Juliet timidly. I don't eat much anyway... Don't mind if I do, said Jezebelle, seizing the closest chair as hers. Jin was forced to take the one next to her right. Sweetie, did I mention that I love you? I love you too, Jules, said Wendy, already sitting and picking out her meat. Same here, said Jin, selecting his food carefully. This is fantastic.

I'm glad... said Juliet slowly, choosing her seat across from them. Where are your parents? asked Wendy out loud through mouthful of food. Father is out of the country... and Mother is not in at the moment... A house like this to yourself, said Jin with a frown, looking up from his plate. That's kind of... outrageous... You shouldn't speak, catfish, said Jezebelle fiercely, kicking the side of his leg with the heel of her boots. What do your parents do for a living, Sweetie? My mother... said Juliet quietly, almost worriedly. She's... Why are you so nosy Fi? asked Jin to Jezebelle in a demand, noticing how uncomfortable Juliet was. Mind your own business. How about your father? asked Jezebelle, ignoring Jin completely. He's a model... said Juliet, wiping her mouth gracefully. And actor... Do we know him? asked Wendy, interested. He's probably a famous one isn't he? There's only one famous actress with the last name Heart, said Jezebelle, countering Wendy. He's probably not that well-known. If so, said Wendy with a frown. How can he afford a house like this? Answer that. I'm sorry... said Juliet, flushing and clasping her hands together. I'm not allowed to tell you guys his name... because of paparazzi issues... Oh shit, said Wendy, dropping her bread. He's famous then. What's his name, Sweetie? asked Jezebelle in a sugary voice. Your leader won't tell anybody his name. I swear upon my name as Jezebelle Phoebe Tilly on it. That was the wrong thing to say Juliet, said Jin with a sigh, helping himself to another slice of Turkey. I'm not supposed to... said Juliet, a bit frightened. Come on now, Jules, said Wendy, smiling brightly at her. I want to know bad now. You can trust me right? Why would I tell reporters about you? asked Jezebelle, feigning a completely innocent look. There's nothing to hide between your close friends right? Okay... said Juliet, convinced. She reddened. I'll tell you guys later... Cool, said Wendy, returning to her plate full of meat. Yo Leader, why are you- Wendy indicated at Jezebelle's plate full of bread and salad. Piling your plate with stuff like that? Are you a vegetarian or some shit like that? No, no, said Jezebelle with a twinkle in her dark eyes now. In order to keep my body in perfect shape, I only eat meat once or twice per month at a fancy restaurant. My chef used to cook for a fancy restaurant... said Juliet, thinking out loud. The effect was immediate. The minute Jezebelle heard this she grabbed a lot of turkey and various other meat around the table into her plate. Jin and Wendy watched with wide eyes as she savored each one quickly with the help of her fork and knife. It was like a girl on a diet for a week and had finally received permission to eat again. Though, on Jezebelle's defense, no matter how fast she ate, she was not messy about it, unlike Wendy. She's meat-starved, said Wendy slowly and awkwardly. There's no doubt about that, said Jin, who was laughing now. Oh Fi, you were trying to sound superior about it earlier too. Jezebelle had no time to talk so she simply kicked Jin hard in the legs in which he groaned and tried to smile. How long has it been since you last ate meat? Two, said Jezebelle curtly. Ah, two months, said Jin with a happy nod. Two years, said Jezebelle after she swallowed her food. I'm probably going to not eat for another year or so after this. Ah, that's wicked, said Wendy with a smile. Then, she realized what she heard and gaped. Oh wait a fucking second!

What the heck? asked Jin, leaning toward her with a dropped jaw. Wendy and Jin exchanged a look. Two years?! ******************************************** Open this door! screamed Rin at the top of her voice, banging on the door to the dark house. Bo was sitting on the steps, watching her. Jin! Open this door right now! The lights are all out, said Bo, indicating at the windows. Maybe Jin's not home? Or maybe, they are in the bedroom, said Rin in a deep growl. It is quite late indeed, said Bo, checking his watch and agreeing. It is about time we head back to your house too. No, said Rin angrily. I have to see Jin! You are being too loud, Hamada-sama, said Bo, flipping through the pages of his calculus book. This is a quiet neighborhood. Bo's right, said Tiffany, who came up to the two in a furry coat and slippers. What are you two going on about in the middle of the night in front of Jin's house? You have a key to Jin's house, don't you Tiffany? asked Rin, running up to Tiffany and shaking her slightly. He's not answering the door. That's troubling, said Tiffany, apathetic. Maybe he's asleep. Yeah, said Rin, placing her hands on her hips. With her! Move aside Rin Hamada! shrieked Tiffany, pushing the short girl aside and rushing to the front door. Bo and Rin watched as she pulled the key from under her coat and unlocked the door quickly. It was attached to a black chain around her neck. I'm going to check quickly and report back to you guys. Judging from that last glare, said Bo after Tiffany disappeared inside. She doesn't want us to follow her inside? Obviously, said Rin with a huff. She knows that if we're telling the truth about Jin and that bitch, she wants to confirm for herself beforehand. I know Tiffany well enough to say that when she deals with disappointment, she deals with it alone. Tiffany's a strong girl, said Bo with a pleasant smile. And she has a crush on Jin that everyone knows about it except for Jin himself. Jin's a blockhead, said Rin, tapping her foot. Back, said Tiffany, opening the door and closing it behind her. He's not in. I see, said Rin with a sigh of relief. Thank goodness... Rin Hamada, said Tiffany seriously, turning her dark eyes on the shorter girl. Both you and I have known Jin the longest... Correct, said Rin, a bit surprised. That's very true actually... And we both agree that Jezebelle is not the one for him. Definitely. I have a proposal then, said Tiffany with a sudden interest in Rin. Regarding? asked Rin suspiciously. Protecting Jin from Jezebelle, said Tiffany with a firm smile. Are you interested? It takes more than one person to take her down, said Rin, thinking. I accept. Two beautiful, charming ladies working together against one, sexy girlfriend, said Bo, grinning and wrapping his arms over both girls' shoulders. Can this be the start of a cat fight for Jin's heart? Both Rin and Tiffany smacked Bo on the head. Shut up Bo! ***************************************** What is the deal with Willis's parents anyway? asked Jezebelle loudly, annoyed. Jezebelle and Jin were back home after eleven since Jezebelle spent her sweet time at Juliet's house, observing paintings and other artwork. Then afterwards, she spent another hour or so at Mr. Wilshire's police station for him to observe the handcuffs closely. In the end, he said these were made in Mexico and that he couldn't do anything about.

Before Jezebelle could explode, Mrs. Wilshire came to the rescue. Apparently, she was a locksmith and told Jin and Jezebelle that she could manage to make a key by tomorrow morning. The good news- Jezebelle calmed down. The bad news- Jezebelle and Jin were stuck in this situation for the duration of the night. I thought they were nice people, said Jin softly, squeezing water out of a soft, white towel in his hands. A cop and a locksmith? asked Jezebelle, turning her head around at Jin. Are you crazy, white bread? It's basically screaming out scandal. I don't get it, said Jin admittedly, holding up the towel. Where should I start? Duh, said Jezebelle, returning to her usual posture. The two of them were in the bathroom. Jezebelle was sitting on the edge of the bathtub while Jin was sitting on the floor behind her. My neck and down. All right, said Jin, rubbing the wet towel against her neck. It might be hard to reach the rest of your back with your bra on. It's strapless, said Jezebelle quickly. Just take it off. How about you do it? asked Jin with glowing cheeks. What? asked Jezebelle, tossing a glare over her shoulders. Even if a full grown woman walks in naked on you, you shouldn't blush! It's a sign of weakness! It's a sign of unmanliness! Get my fucking bra off right now! Okay, said Jin, gulping. He pulled her shirt up slightly to reveal her cream-colored strapless bra. How do I get this thing off... it's so complicated... Oh man, said Jezebelle with a loud groan. You can't even get a bra off? How old are you? Eight? Got it, said Jin happily, placing the bra on top of Jezebelle's skirt. Right now, she was half-naked with her shirt and underwear on. However, Jin failed to notice this. Now, I'll start from the neck and go down. Yeah, said Jezebelle with a satisfied smile. But seriously, Willis's parents are so odd. Why would a locksmith marry a cop? It makes no sense whatsoever. There's probably so dark, hidden story to it. Maybe that's why Willis turns out this way! You shouldn't be talking, said Jin with a short laugh. Oh well, said Jezebelle, leaning back slightly. Jin felt tickled by her hair. After today, I'm glad I chose her. She's strong and cool. She'll do well to follow up on my future plans with the Femme Fatales. Yeah, she's, er, said Jin, scratching his head with his free hand while washing Jezebelle's back with his other hand. I don't know how to describe her actually. She gave you her phone number and screen name, said Jezebelle with an accusing look at Jin, who scratched his head even more. And then when you told her that you're planning to sleep at midnight like you usually do, she said- 'Sleep patterns are for the weak', said Jin and Jezebelle in unison. Nice, said Jin, smiling at Jezebelle. The first time we have the same thought ever, said Jezebelle, grabbing a hold of Jin's hand and forcing to wash her back lower down, near her hips. You're too slow like two snails combined. Sorry, said Jin quickly, returning his attention to her back underneath the shirt. I've been wondering for a while now... you've been crankier than usual all day... Obviously, said Jezebelle with a roll of her eyes. I have a clueless boyfriend. Now, add the fact that I am chained together with him. Good point, said Jin with wide eyes. But anyways, do you hate me? What? asked Jezebelle, gawking at him. No! Why do you think that? Dumb shit. You don't hate me? asked Jin dramatically, bolting up now. Due to the handcuffs, Jezebelle had to unwilling stand up as well. Jin grabbed her hands and stared into her face.

You don't hate me? Not one bit? I don't hate you more than anyone else, said Jezebelle, bored. You don't hate people? asked Jin, surprised. No, said Jezebelle, frowning. I enjoy people hating on me, but no, I don't hate people. I only hate certain types of people, I guess. This is... shocking. Excuse me, dear? asked Jezebelle, losing patience now. She indicated at her back. We're not done yet. You have to wash my arms next. You volunteer! So hurry up! I don't have all day to spend with you! Actually... Never mind, said Jezebelle with a groan and sat back down. Just finish already. So, you're just grumpy? asked Jin innocently, placing his head on her shoulder. Not hating on me or anything? Stop it already, you crazy bastard, said Jezebelle, shrugging him off her. I don't hate anybody! Get it now? Leave me alone. You're in your underwear, said Jin at last, stopping his hand movements and staring down at where her butt was on top of bathtub's rim. And it's black and lacy. You must be like the World's worst boyfriend! shrieked Jezebelle. Slow as hell! I'm sorry, said Jin, turning Jezebelle around suddenly and gazing into her eyes. By telling me you don't hate me, it makes me really happy, Fi. You're weird, said Jezebelle, lowering her eyes slightly at him. I'm sorry again, said Jin, leaning over and kissing her lightly on the nose. Jezebelle flushed bright red now. Wow Fi! You're blushing! So cute. So cute my ass! Jezebelle chased Jin around the restroom. It did not help Jin one bit that they were attached by a chain so he had no way to escape her anyways. Still, at last, he fell backwards and into the bathtub. Tripping over his leg, Jezebelle tumbled in after him. Inside the bathtub, Jezebelle grabbed him and started hitting his head against the rim of the tub. As for Jin, he was trying to push her off to free himself. I hate cute! cried Jezebelle, flustered. Why can't you be a normal boyfriend and simply kiss me on the lips? Why do you have to act innocent about it? You retard! Headache... said Jin in a loud groan. Jin? Jezebelle? Oh, said Jin, picking his head up to catch his father picking up Jezebelle's bra and skirt placed nearly on the toilet seat and observing it with a stern glint in his dark eyes. Welcome home Dad? That night, Jin and Jezebelle slept on the same bed with the handcuffs in between them. Mr. Song was sleeping on the ground right next to his bed.
