~ PROJECT
The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water} will hold a public "open house meeting to share project information and to receive comments from the public on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the First Street Tunnel project. The First Street Tunnel project is a component of the Anacostia River which are the portion of the DC Clean Rivers to Anacostia River. The First Street Tunnel project is also a component of a Mayoral Initiative to mitigate flooding in the Bloomingdale and LeDroit Park neighborhoods in northeast Washington, DC. DC Water anticipates that construction of the First Street Tunnel would commence during the fall of 2013. The purpose of the public meeting is to share information on the project alternatives, benefits, and impacts and provide interested parties an opportunity to give oral and written comments on the EA for the First Street Tunnel project. WHEN: April24 , 2013 (6:30p.m. - 8:30p.m.)
WHERE: St. George's Episcopal Church 160 U Street, NW Washington , DC 20001 The meeting will be in an open house format. Members of the public may stop by any time during the hours listed to see displays on the proposed project and DC Clean Rivers Project staff will be available to answer questions about the project. , NOTICE OF AVAILABIUTY: The EA Report will be available for public review for a 30-day period from April 15th - May 15th.
