APEC nos cambiará la historia
La reunión de empresarios y líderes del Foro de Coope-ración Económica Asia Pacífco (APEC) que congregaa las economías de Australia, Filipinas, Papua NuevaGuinea, Brunei, Hong Kong Chino, Singapur, Canadá,Indonesia, Tailandia, Chile, Japón, Taipei Chino, China,Malasia, Perú, Corea, México, Rusia, Estados Unidos,Nueva Zelanda y Vietnam, nos cambiará la historia ¿Por qué? Las razones son más que evidentes, los em- presarios no vienen de visita, llegan para concretar inversiones, para comprobar in situ el clima social, político y económico del Perú que muestra ciras ma-croeconómicas más que sorprendentes.Cabe recordar que las economías del APEC en conjun-to generan cerca del 54 por ciento del Producto BrutoInterno (PBI) mundial y representan el 41 por ciento dela población mundial a 2007, y en esta región se abri-ca desde un imperdible hasta aviones y satélites.Nuestro acercamiento con Asia sin duda alguna nosavorecerá porque es una de las regiones que luchacontra la corriente, mientras las economías de Esta-dos Unidos y Europa se desaceleran y enrentan pro-blemas fnancieros, China va a mantener su ritmo decrecimiento por encima del ocho por ciento, que evi-tará que los metales pierdan valor en los mercados, y el Perú siga teniendo ingresos relativamente altos. Por ello debemos mirar más al Asia y mostrar orden y de-seos de inversiones, para así lograr salir adelante, te-nemos los recursos que ellos necesitan y ellos los capi-tales que nos hace alta. ¡Bienvenidos representantesde APEC al Perú!

The gathering o entrepreneurs and leaders o the Forum o AsiaPacifc Economic Cooperation (APEC) which brings together theeconomies o Australia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Bru-nei, Chinese Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, Indonesia, Thai-land, Chile, Japan, Chinese Taipei, China, Malaysia, Peru, Korea,Mexico, Russia, United States, New Zealand and Vietnam, will change our history. Why? The reasons are more than obvious,entrepreneurs do not come to visit, come to make investments,to veriy in situ Peru’s social, political and economic circumstan-ces, in a country that shows surprisingly good macroeconomic fgures.It’s worth mentioning that the APEC economies together ge-nerate about 54 percent o the Gross Domestic Product (GDP)worldwide, representing 41 percent o world population by 2007, all this in a region capable o manuacturing rom asaety pin to aircrat and satellites.Contact with Asian economies would beneft us because this isa region that is fghting against the tide, while the economieso the United States and Europe will slow down troubled by fnancial problems, China will maintain its growth rate aboveeight percent, which will prevent metals rom losing value inthe markets, allowing Peru to continue to have relatively highincome rom its exports.Thereore we must keep an eye on Asia and avor conditionsresulting in order and investment or the good o the country;we have the resources they need and they have the capitalswe need.
