ThisEVFaireventisappropriateforalllevels,butwillfocusonusingtheseresourcesintheK-12(primaryandsecondary)level.IwilldemonstratehowtousevideosavailableonlineinsitessuchasTeacherTube,YouTubeandITunestoteachintegratedskills.Theparticipantswilllearnhowtofind,download,embedand/orstreamvideosavailablefromdifferentonlinesources,andwillbeabletoseeexamplesofactivitiesthatenhancelanguagelearningbyusingauthenticmedia.Activitiesinclude:creativewriting,content- basedteaching,online-basedquizzesthatusevideosasinput,andhowtousevideosin blogs, wikis and learning management systems such as Moodle.ThedemonstrationwillalsoincludetipsonhowtoworkwiththeseresourcesinK-12schoolswheremanyofthesewebsitesareblocked,bylearninghowtodownloadandsave these videos to flash drives and other storing devices.
