To the extent that an “antique pistol” isnot also an “antique frearm,” a license would be requiredor lawul possession.NY Law has interpreted this to mean antique ries,shotguns, handguns, and replicas thereo, are generally exempt rom the above restrictions and can be bought andpossessed without a permit. (Persons who shoot muzzle-loading handguns must be properly licensed.)
