Trafficking of people is the 21
st
century’s most heinous crime that enslaves, demeans,and more often than not puts the life of the victims in danger. Tenaganita has beencombating trafficking in women and children since 1994. We had since launched 2Campaigns, in 1995 and in 2006, a joint initiative with the Malaysian Police.Tenaganita’s SHELTER has rescued hundreds of trafficked women and children soldinto the sex trade or in debt bondage or trafficked for labor.The women are abused, raped, beaten, denied food and medical care. They are held incaptive, extremely exploited and denied any rights. The trauma they experience isincomprehensible. The road to recovery is a very long one. And the struggle toregain their dignity demands collective support.Tenaganita’s Shelter journeys with the woman or child who has been trafficked, forcedinto prostitution or enslaved in bonded labor. The shelter’s team of people iscommitted to rescue, protect, care, counsel and empower the survivor. And then helpto repatriate them safely back to their home countries in partnership with other organizations and support groups.

The shelter is now facing a CRISIS. We do not have enough funds to keep it going.We seriously

TO CONTINUE OUR RESPONSE TO OUR DAUGHTERS WHO HAVE BEEN TRAFFICKED.
We are looking for ONLY
180 persons who can commit RM100 per month for oneyear.
This amount will bring us to a total of RM18, 000 per month, enough for us tocarry on, while we seek for longer term funding.
ALL IT TAKES IS RM100 A MONTH TO HELP OUR DAUGHTERS REGAIN DIGNITY.
