The Post-it note is a piece of paper with are-adherable strip of adhesive on the back, designed for temporarily attaching notes todocuments and to other surfaces. Now it’savailable in a wide range of colors, shapes, andsizes.Check: http://www.3m.com/us/office/postit/Dr. Spencer Silver, a 3M scientist, discovered the formula for the sticky stuff backin 1968 but it was Silver's colleague, Art Fry,who finally came up with a practical use for it.Until the 1990s, Post-it notes were onlyproduced in the 3M plant in Cynthiana,Kentucky. Although other companies nowproduce them, most of the world's Post-it notesare still made in Cynthiana.Nowadays we can take notes with Post-it, butwe can also do art…

…and there are already some people whodo that: people like
Paola Antonelli, Rebecca Murtaugh and Jésica Lopez.
They are verycreative and unique.Rebecca Murtaugh is a Californian artistwho uses Post-it notes in her artwork. In 2001,she created an installation in her bedroom: shecovered the whole room in Post-it notes, usingthe ordinary yellow for objects she saw ashaving less value, and neon colors for moreimportant objects, such as the bed.

Since 2002 Jésica López, from Monterrey, hasbeen painting series of figures and portraitswith acrylic on Post-it notes to depict, forinstance, the faces of the so called "101 mostpowerful women" of the "Forbes" list of 2006.
