We are a Canadian-based international financial services organization whichserves the financial security needs of more than 12 million Canadians. Our multi-brand organization is launching a social media strategy, starting with Great-WestLife.Our goal is to provide Great-West Life’s audiences with the knowledge, tools andinspiration to make ideas happen for the mental, physical and financial well beingof Canadians. We will do this by bringing together various perspectives fromthose most affected; and by creating collaborative work spaces for advisors,employees and other stakeholders.
 Associate Manager, Social Media Engagement,
you will help develop andimplement our social media strategy, policies and processes, lead a socialmedia community engagement team, and develop the framework,procedures and long-term relationships with our community members togrow our presence in social media spaces.

You can build internal and externalrelationships, bringing together people with diverse interests and perspectives.You are highly organized, resourceful and efficient.
Enthusiasm for Technology.
You are comfortable with technology platformsand devices, confident experimenting with new technologies and willing to teachothers.
Creative Problem Solving.
You can navigate complex challenges and developinnovative solutions.
You are able to identify new opportunities to generateconversation and engagement within communities, in alignment with corporatestrategies.
Helping develop and implement our social media strategy and presence
Leading a community engagement team with cross-functionalrepresentation from across the organization
Working with internal stakeholders to establish priorities, secure approvals
Developing and managing a conversation calendar 
Listening and responding in our social spaces
Writing engaging posts and comments for our social profiles
Maintaining appropriate tone, manner and personality for each socialprofile
Identifying and escalating issues
Facilitating community engagement
Developing relationships with influencers in social channels
Monitoring/reporting on consumer sentiment in our social media spaces
Measuring success of social media tactics
Providing executive teams with high-level insights
Identifying new and interesting opportunities to grow and engage thecommunity in each social space
Keeping pace with changes and new offerings in the digital media space
University degree in Communications or Marketing and more than 4 yearsof relevant experience in similar position
Proven ability to create an engaging social experience
Detailed practical knowledge and fluency with social media channels,digital mediums and the intranet
 Ability to start conversations in social media
Conversational writing style for social media
Can build relationships and bring people together 
Organized, resourceful, efficient
Strong planning, project management and leadership skills
Bilingual: French language spoken and writing skills an asset
The Associate Manager, Social Media Engagement is part of the CommunicationServices team, reporting to the Director, Social Media Engagement.
