a delegation of Members of the Executive Council in enhancing service delivery in Bluegumbush, QwaQwa. This Operation Hlasela outreach is planned to ensure that services reach the intended beneficiaries and that government yields the expected results from the service delivery programmes it embarks on since it came into office in 2009. This programme is implemented alongside the Service Delivery Monitoring visit of the National Council of Provinces. The Free State Provincial Government is convinced that it has done sufficiently well in responding to the issues that were highlighted by the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) during its visit in 2010 and subsequent follow-up in 2012, and we thus need to support this visit whilst we implement other avenues of enhancing service delivery, said Magashule ahead of the visit. The delegation of the Executive Council started work on the 16 April 2013 by meeting with the Executive Mayors, Senior Management of the (Maluti a Phofung Local Municipality and Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality) to ensure among other things that there is a common vision of the pursuit of service delivery programmes in order to engender intergovernmental cooperation and integration. On the 17 April 2013, the Executive Council delegation will first visit the Human Settlements Mobile Services Truck which has been stationed at the Bluegumbush sporting fields as from Monday as part of the process of verification of service beneficiaries for the 3400 houses earmarked for rectification and demolition. The Provincial Government has set aside funding for the rebuilding of 200 houses during this financial year in Bluegumbush. This programme also entails the rectification of 1 door houses that were built in this area by previous administrations which have not done well in ensuring that the dignity of our people is restored and that they become proud owners of decent human settlements. Premier Magashule and his entourage will embark on a walk about to demolish some of the earmarked houses in Bluegumbush Phase 2. As part of the efforts to implement decent human settlements that easily access social amenities and economic opportunities, the Department of Police, Roads and Transport will be re-graveling and maintaining access roads in the township as well as rehabilitating other access roads in the area of greater QwaQwa. Government has deployed SASSA and Home Affairs as from Monday, 15 April 2013 to ensure that Social Grants are afforded by the deserving recipients and that all citizens are enabled access to enabling documents such as ID, Birth Certificates.
