VENDOR QUESTIONS
QUESTION:
How many trap stations are currently located in the City?
 RESPONSE:
Traps are currently located specifically to Keeton Golf Course.
QUESTION:
Will this contract be for abatement inside the City limits or outside?
 RESPONSE:
This contract will be only inside the City limits of Dallas; however, if a vendor chooses to participate in a cooperative purchasing program, per the signature page, participating
cities may “piggy
-
 back” off of the this contract.
 QUESTION:
What price will any non-Dallas city charge?
 RESPONSE:
For cities participating in this contract, per a cooperative purchasing program, prices will be those on the awarded vendors pricing sheet.
QUESTION: Will a participating city’s amounts be deducted from the award amount for 
the City of Dallas:RESPONSE: No, total dollar amounts awarded by the City of Dallas will not be reduced by any cooperative agreements with other cities.
 QUESTION:
Will there be any benefits of using smart traps by a vendor?
 RESPONSE:
The City is not opposed to using smart traps if the awarded vendor uses them.
 QUESTION:
How many contracts will be awarded from this solicitation?
 RESPONSE:
The City will award only one contract from this solicitation.
 QUESTION:
Does the City allow for charity participation, for example veterans organizations?
 RESPONSE:
This solicitation is not intended for charity participations; however, a charityorganization may submit a proposal which will be presented to the review committee.
 QUESTION:
Will hunting with dogs be allowed?
 RESPONSE:
This contract is not for hunting with or without dogs.
 QUESTION:
Can you elaborate on the goals?
 RESPONSE:
The City wishes to have measurable goals such as reduction in reports of damage by or sightings of feral hogs.
 QUESTION:
What is the current estimated number of feral hogs inside the city limits of Dallas?
 RESPONSE:
The estimated number of feral hogs currently in the City is unknown, thus a
“survey by the selected vendor”
is included in the scope and will be part of the selectedcontractor 
s responsibility. The contract will include an evaluation
with the selected contractor’s
action plan. The City will require consistent reviews and updates.
QUESTION:
Has the City done a survey of feral hog numbers and locations?
 RESPONSE:
The City has not done a survey on either the numbers of feral hogs, of thelocations where damage has been seen or reported sightings of hogs.
Attachment A” identifies
those locations where feral hogs have been reported and/or sighted.

QUESTION:
Who is currently doing feral hog abatement in the City of Dallas?
 RESPONSE:
There is no current citywide agreement.
 QUESTION:
How much is it costing the City for the feral hog program?
 RESPONSE:
Both previous agreements have been specific to a particular location. Pricing for those locations is not comparable to the scope of this solicitation.
 QUESTION:
What is the biggest challenge for capturing feral hogs in Dallas?
 RESPONSE:
Vendors attending the pre-proposal conference advised the biggest challenge intrapping feral hogs, whether inside or outside the city limits of Dallas, is poaching.
QUESTION:
Will the 10-day termination clause be written into the contract for this item?
 RESPONSE:
Yes, the 10-day termination clause for cause or convenience is standard in nearlyall City contracts and is part of this agreement.
QUESTION:
Is the ultimate goal of this solicitation complete removal of feral hogs?
 RESPONSE:
The ultimate goal of this solicitation is control and abatement of feral hogs insidethe City of Dallas to eliminate the risk of disease which may be caused by feral hogs and to prevent damage of both public and private property.
 QUESTION:
What is the total acreage in the City and will that total acreage be covered under this contract?
 RESPONSE:
There are approximately 385 square miles in the City, all public land will becovered under this contract.
 QUESTION:
What is the projected start date of this contract?
 RESPONSE:
A projected start date cannot be given at this point as there are several factorswhich must be considered, including number of submissions received, timeliness of  presentations, etc.
 QUESTION:
Will this contract be all-inclusive, meaning insurance, fuel, labor, supplies, etc.?
 RESPONSE:
All equipment, supplies, operating costs, labor, etc., must be calculated into the prices listed on the pricing sheet.
 QUESTION:
How will the awarded vendor access restricted property, such as the McCommasland fill and other locations?
 RESPONSE:
The areas to be tapped include ALL City of Dallas land as stated in the originalRFP and Addendum #1. The trappers and trapping plan will be developed by the trappingcontractor and approved by the City. Trapping in areas not approved or on the plan will beconsidered in violation of the contract.
 QUESTION:
What is the timeframe for servicing this contract?
 RESPONSE:
This is a proposal for a thirty-six (36) month service contract.
QUESTION:
Are only certain areas to be serviced under this contract?
 RESPONSE:
The vendor is to respond to any feral hog report as provided by the ProjectManager of this RFP. If any non-reported signs of feral hog activity are observed, the vendor willreport those to the Project Manager.
