Solon sympathizes with victims of Boston bombing

Gabriela Party-List Rep. Luzviminda Ilagan today condemned the bombing at the Boston Marathon on Monday, which left at least three people dead -- including an 8-yearold boy -- and more than 140 others wounded. The Boston bombing is a total waste of precious lives. It is an unfortunate incident and we sympathize with victims and their families, Ilagan said. The lady legislator said a thorough investigation must be made and authorities must exhaust all efforts to bring justice to the victims. The two explosions that rocked the Boston Marathon sent the city into chaos. Another explosion occurred at the JFK Library, but authorities were unsure if the incidents were linked. According to reports, several parents from Sandy Hook, Connecticut, where a similar incident has happened, ran in the Boston Marathon as guests of honor as a way for Boston to help those families heal from last December's massacre of children. But instead of helping these families heal, the report added, the six Sandy Hook families found themselves again in the middle of chaos, besieged by sirens, ambulances and shocking carnage. (30) sb
