1.1 CONSULTING

1.2.1 HUMAN RESOURCES Human recourses are a key-factor in developing a K9 program. The foundation of the program are the people themselves. Managers have to be convinced about the importance of the program. And even though the dog is excellent trained, its the handler which has to direct and read the dog. K9 SECURITY provides human recourses support for different stages in the program as we are experienced in international areas and are involved in several projects in the world.

1.2.2 CERTIFICATION The K9 unit is established when the program is certified. After the people are trained, examined and evaluated by K9 SECURITY procedures will be implemented.

1.2.3 AUDITING AND REPORTING To keep the standards of the K9 unit high, regularly auditing of the procedures is necessary. The goal is to eliminate all uncertainty for the team and management. Regular K9 SECURITY audits, provides the management with objective documentation for the K9 units. Objective testing also provides focus points to improve and increase program standards.

1.2.4 QUALITY CONTROL With the necessary approvals from the local government the quality control can be done parallel with the auditing procedures. This service should be turned into real scenarios as wet transitions and dry transitions in the working environment of the K9s.

1.2.5 RE-CERTIFICATION A K9 unit that passed the certification should have a recertification exam periodically. Audits and reporting are not enough. 2.1 GREEN DOGS

3. TRAINING PROGRAM

3.1 KENNEL MANAGER AND KENNEL KEEPER COURSE

The Kennel Manager and Kennel Keeper course prepares the future kennel keeper to manage the kennel. The kennel manager is the heart of the K9 program. Kennel Keeper is responsible for the health of the dogs, specially when the number of dogs increases the tension on viruses and diseases will increasing.

K9 SECURITY developed a kennel keeping course regarding: - How to clean a kennel facility - How to maintain a kennel facility - How to disinfect a kennel facility - Preventive health care - Basic dog behavour - First aid for K9 - Recognizing viruses and diseases - Basic knowledge of medication

3.2 DOG HANDLER COURSE

3.3 DOG TRAINERS COURSE

Dog handlers which are motivated and experienced enough can be send to the Trainers course program. This course combines all phases of Detector and Patrol Dog Training. The course member will have the opportunity to completely train several green dogs through all phases of Dog Training.
