Army Background Summary: The Red Corsairs supported by the Word Bearers have attacked the Kerak Sector

to assist in destabilizing the Imperium during Abaddons 13th Black Crusade. Kerak is a major industrial sector centered around the Hive World Tyrel and the Forge World Hecate. At the outset of the war, the Red Corsairs attacked Tyrel, the seat of the largest concentration of Administratum, Munitorum, and Inquisitoral leadership in the sector, wiping out the chain of command. With each world left to defend itself, the traitors pillage and burn the sector, setting the stage for deeper penetration into the Segmentum Solar. Inquisitor Hayek: On Tyrel, a single Inquisitor escapes the devastation and flees to gather reinforcements.
