Interesting aspect of Eisenhower, an American of German descent & commander of so many soldiers, hating "the Germans." And so he takes his bigotry out on helpless conscript soldiers, as if they were somehow inherently different than US common soldiers, or those everywhere who mostly just followed orders and tried to survive and save their buddies.
