Youth Week is the largest annual celebration for young people in Australia. It issupported by Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments to promote apositive proﬁle of young people in their communities. It is a unique opportunityfor young people to highlight their issues and concerns and express their ideas andopinions.

This month we celebrate YOUTH WEEK - and welcome everyone to participate. Join us on Saturday4th April 2009 at the Bishop Street Park (Eagleby) Youth Festival. The Performace Team will beperforming at 11am and 2pm. We will also be hosting workshops at 12pm and 1pm. This is a FREEevent with rides, music, giveaways, and more. In June we will be participating in the Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge, at the LoganEntertainment Centre! We are very excited to forge the way with Polynesian Dancing being includedin a mainstream dance competition. It will be a wonderful opportunity to share the culture, but also toexperience the training and dedication it takes to win a competition!Entries have closed, but we have purchased a few extra spots. We encourage anyone who still feels thedesire to compete to pay their $11 to us ASAP. First come, ﬁrst serve!
