To illustrate how we tend to bemore self-centered than we mayhave thought, and todemonstrate the importance of focusing on the other person.
After a discussion on inter-personalskills or any aspect of communication,casually mention that many of usforget about focusing on others andinstead become somewhat self-centered, albeit not in a consciousway.With this in mind, ask theparticipants to find a partner and forthe next 2 minutes, they will beallowed to talk about anything in theworld they want to discuss. There is,however, one rule - THEY CANNOTUSE THE WORD 'I'.
