Why results are poor from in-house trainers?
Vijay Mahagaonkar -PresidentSince I am traveling nation wide, very often I comeacross following doubts, from the CorporateManagement for Corporate Trainer or say "in-houseTrainer" :- When
we have HR wing,
they are also
wellexperienced people
,and
we struggle to improveefficiency by small percentage
,if not from yearstogether, atleast
from month’s together.
Then how
Brooklyn Team
can do thatwithin couple of day’s or few hours time?Answer: You are right. Truly speaking, they [ your  people ] know a lot. But no one knows everything.Further, Your and their relationship with organisation’s people is like Employer and Employee i.e.
Father andAdolescent son
.Son knows - its one way traffic andthus says
"OK Dad" but does what he likes!
Sameway, employees say to the Managers, Supervisors - "YesBoss, yes sir", and continue to do the work, the way theylike! or at most they do ’what is told’ without anydevotion, interest and thus, you don’t get desired results. Whereas we being professional, we use, video clips, games, role plays, and apt examples and particular casestudies, and from huge experience, we know, how to take
Page 2 of 6

the matters to the mind of people and that creates twoway inter-action and thus you get positive results, soon.
And this is not only done by Brooklyn Team orBrooklyn Vijay alone, but is done by every trainer orevery training organisation.
Because, his, her or firm’ssuccess depends on Your getting results and
supportsyour human Resource development wing.

- How much percentage improvement can beobserved?
Answer: If not all, atleast 60% of the participants startimplementing some of the narrated matters soon. 20%are cool people - they like it and want to take steps; butdue to various reasons, are not able to do it. They needmore time and may be further sessions, say after two or three months. 10% are neutral people - they know theyliked it but they are so much bored with life that they donot want to take any steps. And 10% guys are sittingthere, just because they are ordered and have no interestto improve any way.
So over period of one year, youwill earn more than 100 times,
than what you spend onfor utilising our or any other out-sourced Trainer’sservices. Therefore, as you know, the
expenses are in reality - aninvestment
-and not an expense at all. [ Although luckilyin India, Uncle Sam i.e. our Income Tax Dept
.takes thecharges as 100% expenses !
].
- Why people do not take much interest, from in-house trainers, or when Manageror Director or Owner says something verymuch worthwhile, why employees hesitateto adapt it?
Answer: With due respect to all the in-house trainers, or Manager or Director or Owner; you know Your people

Dear Balaji_ayala425, thanks for comments; but what makes you to think untested, superficial, untenable? Not so called trainer but we have good number of emails saying article is full of real facts and then only corporates pay and invite us. But you have full liberty to think the way you want .... however thanks again for efforts taken to express your views. Brooklyn Vijay

relevant topic but very inadequately/inappropriately dealt with...superficial, untested, untenable conclusions..wonder what the motive behind posting something like this..would augur well if the so-called 'trainer' gets to understand the science and art of learning and behaviour modification and then revisit this topic.
