The purpose of this report is to help the Board of Education of the San Francisco Unified SchoolDistrict (the Board) monitor its student assignment policy. On March 9, 2010, the Boardunanimously approved a new student assignment policy (Policy P5101), and this policy calls onthe Superintendent to present the Board with an annual report on the student assignmentsystem.This is the second annual report since P5101 was approved by the Board; the first annual reportwas shared with the Board and public on March 5, 2012.The following SFUSD staff worked together to develop this report:
