Introduction of the company:
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) that started its operations in
January 2001 under the brand name ‘Ufone’. As a result of PTCL’s privatization,
Ufone became a part of the Emirates Telecommunication Corporation Group(Etisalat) in 2006.
 
Since its inception, Ufone has focused on the people of Pakistan, empowering themwith the most relevant communication modes and services that enable them to do alot more than just talk, at a price that suits them the most. gives its customers many reasons to smile.Ufone has taken the pride in setting new standards through market initiatives and itis the first cellular company in Pakistan to target the low end subscriber market andintroduce GPRS / MMS service besides offering real value for money packages andstarting of WAP and Data services.when Ufone was launched the demand was very huge against the limited networkcoverage with one dominant GSM operator and two AMPS operators. The tariff rateswere very high and beyond the reach of common man.  In a message to Ufone employees on Eid, as communicated to us by sources placedwith-in the company.CEO briefed employees about the appreciation it received fromthe Chairman of Board of Directors on performance of company, and announced thatthe Board of Directors approved performance based bonuses for all eligiblepermanent and contractual employees of Ufone.CEO mentioned that Ufone is doing best in terms of MNP, while company hasstrengthens the sales network through sales force automation, U shops and retailer outreach programs.The statement which Ufone CEO passed for appreciating employees work and for letting the world know about how Ufone is growing and what is the backgroundbehind coming up with distinct ideas has stated that basic reason of appreciatingtheir employees performance i.e if they need to make Ufone a standout companythey need to work on following aspects:
