Lulu is a great place to publish books and sell them today. That’s right! You canactually publish your book and make sales on it today. The process is quite harmlessand it’s a step by step procedure that spits you out at the end with a finished book.It’s free. It doesn’t have to cost a thing. But, if you want it to be a legitimate book with an ISBN and a useful distribution package that includes Amazon, Barnes & Nobleand a few other features that help quite well, you will have to purchase that package. That’s an entirely different aspect from doing it for free. But the bottom line is that atno cost, you can have a book published and ready for sale in about five minutes if youhave the book already written and everything else is ready for publication. is that you no longer haveto provide them with a pdf. You can upload a document in various formats and thesoftware will make the pdf for you. Now for as long as I can remember, it’s been that way. So, I have no idea why that information is incorrect in my previous publication.Lulu.com

If you have written your own book or designed your new website, chances are that youneed image manipulation software. In fact, that’s what GIMP means…GNU ImageManipulation Program. Basically if you have an image that you would like to alter sothat it looks better for your website, then you want to download GIMP. In years past, Ihave been spoiled by great programs that let me take images and add shadowing, put words on them, animate them or anything else I wanted to do to them to make themmore attractive for my site or manuscripts.I’ve layered images on top of other images and combined them for maximum effect.I’ve made them into oil paintings and literally lifted them off the page with all kinds of lighting or motion effects. But, imaging software is getting more and more expensive.Every time I have to buy a new computer, I have to reinstall software and sometimes Idon’t have it any more. So, am I going to buy new?No, I’m going to download GIMP because one, it’s free and two, it has all the featuresthe others do. Once you learn the software, you see how easy it is. The only difficultycomes with the advanced level of image manipulation you are attempting. Lifting words off the page with a shadowing effect might take some tinkering because thereare so many settings that will allow you to make the shadow as perfect as you want.
