Feed content is automatically harvested by MyST Enterprise RSS Servicesfrom a variety of Intel content sources worldwide and made available in RSSform. This is a key business requirement as it frees Intel's content produc-ers from worrying about the mechanics or technical details or RSS publish-ing and tracking.Intel recently updated the look and organization of the syndication site andadded a new press feed called Chip Shots. These are smaller news itemsthat don’t make it into formal press releases, but are still of great interest to journalists, partners, and resellers. Once transformed into RSS items by theMyST services, these items become fully searchable by Google and otherengines, vastly increasing the exposure of Intel’s news content.Subscribers following Intel’s news and announcements also use the feeds tostay abreast of announcements within minutes of being posted to their website. Third parties—channel partners, resellers, VARs, etc.—are also able tosyndicate Intel news directly into their own intra- or internet portals, pro-viding yet additional exposure all linking back to the original Intel sources.
Enterprise RSS Services Platform
The MyST Platform is suitable for many content-oriented solutions, but anarea that it excels in is integration with information sources to provide ca-nonical XML formats. The platform completes this capability with its robustXSL presentation layer, making it possible to transform arbitrary sources of content into syndication formats such as RSS and Atom.
