Pizza and Math
Do you like pizza? Do you prefer it with ham and cheese or one with all-toppings pizza? Or do you like to choose your own combination of toppings? Pizzasare very popular today. In fact, there are more pizza flavors that you can choose fromand more outlets to go to.When you step inside a pizza parlor, you can immediately smell the fragrantaroma of herbs and spices. If you are dining with your friends on a hectic weekend, chances are, you will be asked to wait at the reception area. In a few seconds, thestrong scent of oregano, black pepper, rosemary, basil, and thyme mixed with meat

will surely make your mouth water. Hmmm, the smell is so delicious that you can'twait to take a bite at the pizza! Afterwards, you gladly proceed to your assigned table. The food server then hands you the menu and patiently waits for your orders. Howyou wish you could order everything and eat them all.
Cheese or Vegan
How do you choose your pizza flavor? Do you choose the classic (Hawaiian, pepperoni, baked ham and cheese), all meat, vegan, seafood, or combination of all thetoppings? There are also pan pizzas, thin crust, cheesy crust, hot dog crust, chickencrust, and even adobo pizza. You can also have a square pizza instead of the usualround pizza. How delightful your pizza is when it has so many toppings! The colorfularray of yellow pineapples, white onions, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, buttonmushrooms, red salamis and pepperonis, specks of anise, brownish ground meat, flakes of anchovies, squares of ham, streaks of tomato sauce, and velvety smoothmozzarella cheese thrown together in a bed of the pizza crust is as delicious as itlooks. It is truly a feast to the eyes! While you are waiting for your order, you notice how busy the service crews are.You can see them arranging the tables and chairs, placing the linens, adding the plates,

glasses, spoons, forks, and knives. You can hear the tinkering and clanking of theceramic, glass, and metal. The food servers are talking and taking orders from their guests. Some customers would signal the waiters to request for their bill.
As soon as your order arrives, you just can't wait to grab one slice of pizza! Thefood server has divided it into eight (
) parts. One slice is one-eighth (
) of the whole pizza (
). If you have company, three friends perhaps, then almost half of the pizza will be given to all of you.

Still, if you want to eat another slice, then you would consume two slices out of theeight slices (
). Pizzas are best to be eaten while hot. The crust is crispy for a thin crust pizza. You can feel the smoothness of the cheese and the chewiness of the salami and pepperoni. The greasy underside adds to delicious the taste of the piping hot pizza.
