Fantastic features; open doc support will be great;support for other languages evidently will be the next demand I presume

Luka over 2 years ago

Support for OpenDocument format would be really useful. Please consider it's implementation.

By lack of support forums or a bug db, I'm going to post my feature request here :-)

I uploaded a landscape pdf on http://www.scribd.com/doc/6638/De-web-2-0-gener...
but it got rotated automatically to portrait...
I didn't find a way to rotate it back again via the interface.

Best regards,

Pascal Van Hecke

BTW: were you inspired by http://blog.forret.com/2006/08/youtube-for-pdf-... when starting Scribd :-) ?

FINALLY! something that should have been done ages ago... Geek fantasy come true!

There's a zillion million of us Palm users/non-users who read books/articles on the PalmDOC format on various portable devices. The most simple and open specification for this is AporticDOC. That should work on all Palm or other platforms that use a DOC-base(non-Microsoft) for their ebooks.

Plz consider this as a practical feature request. I don't think it would be hard to add a bunch of scripts to convert plainTXT to palmDOC/aporticDOC; infact there's open-source code out there as well for the same. :)

Cheerio guys; and i'm gonna get greedy about an API very soon.... ;)

I think a good idea would be to allow OpenDocument formats for upload and download

If you added the ability to click on something on a page and send you to another page in the document, you could easily have a tiny version of hypercard. Please consider adding an "internal links" feature.

is there an api coming soon?
