 From the mountainous villages of rural China, to rural Mexico and Africa, to its homestate of Colorado, the Nathan Yip Foundation has been making a difference in the livesof children. In China, the Foundation has built, funded, and continuously supportedseven schools and two orphanages. The Foundation has also built a dormitory inLoreto, Baja Mexico, continuously supports an orphanage in Juarez, Mexico, andsupports several educational projects throughout Africa. Locally, the Nathan YipFoundation has supported such projects as Escuela de Guadalupe, Colorado Uplift’sMy Book Foundation, Heritage Camps for Adoptive Families, Asian PacificDevelopment Center, Summer Scholars, IB ARMS MYP Student Summit, HealingHands of Hope, and has provided a four-year scholarship for a student at the Universityof Denver. Position Summary
 The Social Media Intern is an enthusiastic, highly organized and resourceful self-starter who has a passion for working through the social media platform. This central role willprovide part-time support to the founders, Board of Directors, volunteer committees, andfoundation supporters.Responsibilities include website and social media management, designing andproducing marketing/collateral materials, and managing a blog. These include, but are
not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Wordpress, and helping the Nathan YipFoundation reach a larger audience within our social media accounts.
Key Responsibilities
 - Manage, update and grow organization’s contact lists in Excel and Constant Contactdatabases.- Work with PR and marketing volunteers to write content for press releases, ConstantContact e-newsletter, etc.- Manage website content and update events page for ticket sales to each event.
 - Proven experience with proficiency in Constant Contact, Microsoft Office Suite(especially MS Word labels and form letters and Excel), and various social media.QuickBooks and Wordpress experience a plus.-Great writing skills that are both short and appealing for social media.- Cultural proficiency and a passion for the foundation’s mission and values. Experiencestudying or living abroad and knowledge of other languages a plus.- Creative problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box to come up withmore productive ways of streamlining processes. Project management skills a plus.- High degree of flexibility and adaptability with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, andsuccessfully complete projects with little or no supervision.- Proven written, oral, interpersonal, and intercultural communication and presentationskills; attention to detail and deadlines; well organized and highly dependable.- Technologically savvy with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues, learn newsoftware and seek out new technologies to streamline processes.
Summer stipend commensurate with experience.
Part-time position with approximately 20-25 hours a week with occasionalevening and weekend hours depending on event production cycle, meetings and eventsscheduled. This position is a self-developed internship. You can work from home but willbe expected to turn in a weekly report and meet with the Program Coordinator weekly togo over content and check in.
