US India Bilateral Electronic Hardware Manufacturing Dialogue Sub- group on the above subject has been constituted in order

to i) ii) Promote investment in Electronics System Design and Manufacturing sector in two countries. Collaborate in developing Centres of Excellence in areas like Medical Electronics, Automotive electronics, LED, solar photovolataics, Electronic games and toys, among others. Collaborate in development of human resource development in areas of advanced technologies relating to ESDM sector

Terms of Reference of the suggested Sub- group are:i) ii) iii) To organize DVC meetings to identify issues, persons, visits, etc. To identify contact persons/nodal persons from both the sides To hold one to one meetings with Industry, Industry Associations and other stake holders in the USA to showcase Indian initiatives in ESDM for attracting investment in India from USA. To share experience of US on Innovation policy and electronic hardware manufacturing support.
