The END of MY
MAGNUM OPUS:
“Hearing
the
WORD”
…I AUDIO-RECORDED the entire Bible (Old & New Testament, protestant version here, elsewhere I also audio-recorded the non-canonical & the additional catholic books) and posted it online at posterous which ran for several years until the end of April, 2013 at which point posterous (which was bought out by Twitter) shut down. Why did Twitter purchase posterous only to shut them down ? That’s a “whole ‘nother question” as they say, but it’s a warning to us all what “big bucks” can do to brainpower (ie it seems to be true that everybody has their price). Apparently, Twitter wanted the brains behind posterous more than posterous itself. Or maybe posterous was on the verge of launching something that would threaten twitter’s popularity and so they gave twitter their buyout price. Whatever the case may be, posterous reneged on their promise to continue operating as-is and a lot of manpower goes down the drain with it. Sure, there was an opportunity to back it up…which I did but I don’t know if I will find the energy, inspiration, & time to re-upload it all over again elsewhere along with the associated text, et al. So the day before posterous is shutting down I am taking a final snapshot of a few pages of my masterpiece, www.HearingTheWord.posterous.com This was INSPIRED by GOD…and I just opened my mouth. It was tiring…even exhausting at times…but WELL WORTH IT when it was all done..the satisfaction of knowing I had read the entire Word of God aloud…and that thousands of people, maybe more, listened to it,and maybe even some who didn’t know Christ as Savior were led to Him because of it. Let’s HOPE SO anyways. –vk-
