Annual Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Advisers National College Media(ACP/CMA) Convention.

Website Large School” category.
 The convention brought in nearly 2,200 students from across North America andreceived 359 total entries for all the Best of Show categories.

Editor-in-Chief, Matt Erspamer and Managing Editor, Paul Young, were among those inattendance from CMU. Erspamer said the group had no initial intention to enter anycompetition. After seeing the booth for Best of Show, however,

entered “without any expectations of winning.”
 Erspamer credits the new layout of 
GCM
 
as “a key factor in winning the award” and
believ
es it is “one of the best
of the top 10 schools awarded Best of Show in that
category.”
 Kate Brickman, contest/critique coordinator for the ACP, cited a significant increase inentries and competition for website categories this year in comparison with last year.
“Suffice it say,”
Brickman wrote in an email Thursday, Nov. 4,
“if you placed anywhere in
the Top 10 for Best of Show, your
publication is pretty spectacular.”
