a message from Apostle Price

35 Years of EIF Ministries

This year marks 35 years of Ever Increasing Faith Ministries. I can take no credit of my own because it is god who has sustained us all these years. When people ask how we have managed to stay on television for more than three decades, I tell them its obedience to god. The decision to go on the air started with instruction from god and I havent strayed from what Hes told me to do. His instruction was simple: teach His Word. Thats it. Thats all. No music. No frills. Just the Word of god. If god wants you to do something specifically, He will let you know. If He does not let you know, simply wait until He does. But at least make your talents and abilities available to Him. Because weve stuck to what god told me to do, we are still here and yet increasing. We If ye continue in the can truly say that this is an ever increasing ministry. Many Christians are just as they were five years ago or when they first faith grounded and got saved. They are not increasing. In order to increase, you must apply settled, and be not the Word in your life. To increase, you must read the Word each time in moved away from the a fresh light, as if you had never read it before. That way, you will always hope of the gospel find insight and knowledge that you did not have. If you do not expect to which ye have heard, find anything new in the Word, you will not find it. Even after all these years of teaching, gods Word is still fresh to me. and which was If you are "grounded and settled," you can continue in the faith, Paul preached to every said. However, many Christians are not grounded and settled. That is creature which is the way babies are, happy one day and crying the next. If you are having under heaven; where- trouble along this line, let me tell you how to get grounded and settled. of I Paul am made a You do it by learning the Word of god. That will keep you from being moved by every wind of doctrine that comes up. minister. Colossians 1:23 let the winds blow, and the clouds gather, you can stand in the eye of the storm and say, "In the name of Jesus, peace be still." When you are a baby Christian, you tend to fall apart when a storm arises. But someone who is grounded and settled in the Word will not be moved. one problem in the Church down through the ages has been "self-made" ministers. Paul said, . . . whereof I Paul am made a minister." Paul did not say he had decided to become a minister, or that he had made himself one. Too many ministers are self-made, or parent-made or spouse-made and, consequently, they have no anointing. Many ministers go to seminaries to get degrees for careers in the ministry. They believe the degree makes them a minister, but that is not true. Wait for god to make you a minister. Then your ministry will bear fruit.

invitation to salvation
If you are not a Christian and would like to become one, pray the following prayer:
Dear GoD in Heaven, Thank you for sending Your Son JeSuS CHriST to destroy the power of Satan over my life. i accept Jesus now as my personal Savior and LorD, and i choose to turn away from the sins of my past to a renewed Life in Jesus. You said that if i would confess with my mouth the LorD JeSuS and believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead, that i would be saved. i believe JeSuS died for my sins and that You raised Him from the dead for my benefit. HeavenLY FaTHer, i thank you for the gift of salvation and for accepting me now as Your child. in JeSuS name, amen.

the church he founded in 1973, has grown from a few hundred members to well over 20,000. In 1984, Crenshaw Christian Center outgrew its original Inglewood facility and purchased the former Pepperdine University los Angeles campus. After years of holding three services on Sunday in the Main Auditorium, construction on the Faithdome began in 1986, finished in 1989, and was dedicated on January 21, 1990. The Faithdome is one of the largest church sanctuaries in the United States, with seating for a little under 10,000 people. In addition, in 1990, Price founded the Fellowship of Inner City Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM, which has since been renamed to the Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries due to its growth and global reach). Members of FICWFM include churches from all over the United States and various countries. The Fellowship, which meets regionally throughout the year and hosts an annual convention, is not a denomination. In May 2001, Apostle Price fulfilled a vision he had for many years by establishing an East Coast Church in Manhattan where he taught weekly Bible Studies. By Pastor Robert E. Bolden he glory of god is an expression used throughout the Bible, but for the most part it is assumed that people know what it means. one cannot adequately describe gods glory because the glory of god is really beyond describing and is difficult to comprehend with our finite minds. The word glory translated from the Hebrew language is the word Kabod, which carries the meaning weightiness or heavy, power, honor, dignity, authority, magnificence, fame, and excellence. Kabod is also gods majesty and His visible splendor. When I began to study the glory of god or the glory of the lord, the scripture that stood out was Habakkuk 2:14, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the lord, As the waters cover the Sea. The word knowledge used here in scripture is the Hebrew word yada, which means to ascertain by seeing, observation and recognition. This clearly shows us that we will physically see, observe and recognize gods glory. The glory of god is an actual observable thing and while in gods presence His glory is magnified. The presence of god is the active manifestation of Him that dominates the envi-

ronment. We should desire to be in His presence because in His presence there is fullness of joy. When gods presence comes, He will reveal His glory. The Children When we of Israel experienced His presexperience His ence when He revealed Himself glory we know through a pillar of cloud by day and His power. a pillar of fire by night (Ex 13:21); Acts 13:17 they also experienced gods glory when He parted the Red Sea (Ex 14:13-19). When we experience gods manifested presence, we know His holiness, and when we experience His glory we know His power. (Acts 13:17). god calls us to be holy and set apart to Him and for His purpose, He intends for us to be distinguished in nature and in character from the world. We should be different in the way we think, act and live. This difference will

In Exodus 19:4-5 god instructed Moses to tell the people if they obey My voice and keep My covenant they would be a special treasure to Him, this words special treasure in the KJV is the word peculiar, the Hebrew word for peculiar is segullah which means prized possession, personal property. We also see in 1st Peter 2:9, but you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and His own special people. Being a member of a chosen generation, an elect race we are considered priests, which is indicative of having a privileged access to god, and the privilege to minister to others in the name of Jesus Christ. This gives every believer immediate access to god in the name of Jesus. We also have the privilege and responsibility of interceding for another before god, and representing the love god to the people by witnessing and teaching, this is truly operating in gods glory!

god is seeking people who will praise Him, not because He needs it but because it is an indication of a loving relationship. It is us who need to praise the lord, not only because it is a command, but because there is something within us that cannot survive without it. our Heavenly Father wants a people who will walk with him in prayer, march with Him in praise, worship Him for who He is, and display His glory to all flesh (Ps. 150:2, Hebrews 13:15.) The revelation of the power within the glory will become a powerful active force in the Body of Christ when we tap into His glory. We will experience more supernatural manifestations of the glory of god in our midst. It is the The revelation desire of Jesus Christ that His of the power followers do the work that within the glory He did, and greater works will become a which include both bringing powerful active people into the kingdom and force in the Body allowing the glory to be seen of Christ. upon us!EIF

But more impressively, he has always stayed humble and given god the glory. In every interview I've ever watched, he has always made sure to thank god, even when the reporters are trying to praise him on his performance. Tebow has enough discipline to know his fame and material possessions wont be with him when he goes to heaven. While at Florida, Tebow would put scriptures on his eye black, such as John 3:16 or Proverbs 3:5-6. In 2009, he wore John 3:16 on his eye black during a game. In the next 24 hours, John 3:16 had over 90 million google searches. That one act of standing up for god through wearing simple eye black had him reaching the masses. Tebow said, "It just goes to show you the influence and the platform that you have as a student-athlete and as a quarterback at Florida." Another name comes to mind when I think of the ideal Christian athlete, and thats the Super Bowl Champion Ray lewis. I havent followed his career as closely as Tebows, but after making his retirement announcement late last season, pretty much every network started acknowledging Rays impact on the game. Not only were they showing his career highlights on the field, but they also aired several interviews hes done over the years. Coming into the NFl as young big shot linebacker out

o f the University of Miami, unfortunately he got off on the wrong foot. one night in Atlanta while out with some friends at a night club, Ray was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. As Ray and some friends entered the limo leaving the night club, a fight broke out between lewis, his companions, and another group of people in the parking lot leaving one young man stabbed to death. All accusations pointed to Ray lewis saying he had something to do with the young man being murdered. Eventually Ray went to trial and was found NoT gUIlTY. I believe this particular incident completely changed Rays and his outlook of life. He began being not only a leader on the field, but off the field as well. He made it his goal to reach the young players and talk to them about god. Some of his old teammates even call him a motivational speaker because he is anointed to do what he does. Rays impact on the game of football will live on forever both on the field and off the field. Christian athletes should be seen as uncommon men and women of god. do more than just play sports for a living. Professional athletes sometimes forget how much influence they really have. Athletes have to become true leaders of not just their sport, but of their families, churches, communities, friends and work place. With that leadership, they have shown the world how awesome god is and what He can do for those who serve and obey Him. I would like to see Christian athletes start having bible study groups amongst players and coaches, to take their minds off sports. life should be bigger than just sports, especially when you've already made it to the professional level. Christian athletes should be filled with the Holy Spirit and saturate their locker rooms with the Word of god. guys should be asking one another for godly advice on their marriages, families, finances, relationships and of course their spiritual walk. Its important for them to let the world know the god we serve and how good He is. If I can get one message across to all athletes of all ages, its that people aren't going to be fired up about god if you don't seem fired up about Him. You should want to let your life show people what it means to be an upright Christian. People should see something so appealing in you that you can then use that appeal and tell them about the lord. We have to have a clear-cut understanding that sports are a vocation and an opportunity for ministry, but its not life itself. While youre playing your sport, making a positive impact on peoples lives and glorifying god while doing it, you'll end up being tremendously satisfied with your life. Now thats true significance at its finest. Thats what I call a winner, a buzzer beater, a champion and a Christian athlete.EIF

I then told Him, I will go anywhere you want me to go, and I will do anything you want me to do. I just want to really know you, but it cant be like it has been in the past. I dont want my Nazarene teaching to stand in the way. I want to know who you really are. The next morning while shaving, I heard the voice of the lord for the first time in my life, and He said to me, I dont want you to go anywhere. I just want you to come unto me. Although I had never heard His voice before, I knew with my whole heart He was talking to me. I wept for two days. A few days after that, I was cruising through the channels to see what was on TV, and I sawit wasnt what I saw that impressed me, but what I hearda black man teaching from the Bible. It was Fred Price, and I have thanked the lord for him ever since. Dr. Fred was the one who showed me how to read study and learn the Bible with his simple, down to earth style of teaching. Thank you Jesus and thank you Dr. Price. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and started taking notes. Then I would study those notes for two to three hours every evening until the next weeks message came. I had never felt so much hope in my lifetime. I acted on Romans 5:1-5, and it worked! Within a few months I was out of work, againI made my living managing golf courses, taking bankrupt courses and making them very successful operations. Every time I would get a struggling golf course up and running

nicely, the owners or managers would tell me they wouldnt need me any longer, and down the road I would have to go. I didnt know then that I was always in a spiritual battle, so Satans little imps were making my life miserable. I dont let him do that any longer, because The greater one lives within me! When I lost that job, I decided to not to go back to work, until I had studied to show myself approved, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of god. I studied the Word ten to fifteen hours a day, seven days a week, for almost a year and a half. I went through every dime I had, and it was the best investment Ive ever made. Near the front door of the house I was renting, there were two cherry trees. The very day the cupboards became empty, the cherries on those two trees were ripe enough to eat. I didnt let any of my family eat the cherries until we had picked two grocery bags full, as our tithe on them. Then we ate and enjoyed them. To make a long story short, I ended up in a very nasty divorce. I came out of that totally

penniless, but by then I had been back to work, managing another bankrupt course. I met a wonderful lady a short time after all of the dust settled, and we eventually married. She is a true Proverbs 31 woman, and the greatest gift god could ever have given me. She was raised Catholic but had also always wanted to really know god on a close and personal basis. She had attended a Baptist Singles potluck eight months prior to our meeting, and accepted the lord as her personal Savior. I began to teach her gods marvelous covenant. She began to learn and trust how to walk by faith and not by sight, and has become a strong Bible believer. It is god who gives us the power to get wealth (Deut 8:18), and He has blessed us beyond all we could ask or think (Eph 3:20). He has given me international recognition in the golf teaching industry, and golfers come from everywhere in the world for instruction. I could make this into a full paperback story, but I will close by telling you god will do everything He has promised. There is oNE huge catch, though. god cannot be mocked. He knows if you are after the blessings, or if you are only interested in having sweet fellowship with Him. He assures us if the latter is the case, All of the blessings will follow you and overtake you. Thank, you Dr. Price, for getting me started properly. A few years ago, my wife Valerie and I thought since we would never have to ask the lord for anything in eternity, we would stop asking Him for anything here. We constantly thank Him for knowing what we need before we ask Him and for supplying all our need according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus. You cannot imagine how much He has blessed us for doing that. Its a whole new realm of trusting Him for the things of life. god is good! EIF

Walking out His Faith

By Antracia Moorings ith 50 years of ministry under his belt, Apostle Frederick Price has learned how to walk by faith and not by sight. But in late 2011, the then 79-year-old founder of Crenshaw Christian Center would have to put his faith to the test once again with a health challenge. The Price family has faced a major health challenge before with the lymphatic cancer diagnosis of Dr. Betty Price in 1990. This time it was Apostle Price himself who would have to come face to face with sickness in his body. After many months of being in pain and putting off the inevitable, Apostle Price finally went in for a routine hip replacement surgical procedure. "This went off without a hitch and is a non-issue now," explained his eldest daughter Angela Evans, who gave an update on h e r father's health.
However, before the surgery Apostle Price had begun experiencing swelling in his lower extremities.

Finally, after a five-day hospital stay (in addition to the hip replacement) he was diagnosed as manifesting symptoms of Nephrotic syndrome specifically a malady called membranous glomerulonephritis which is a slowly progressive disease affecting the kidney. Inside of the kidney is the glomerulus which helps to filter the blood. In Apostle Price's case, the kidney was leaking fluid into the urine that caused fluid to collect in the soft tissue resulting in the swelling. "This condition has to bow to the name of Jesus, so were good," Angela testified. "To show you how stupid the devil is, in researching this, I found that it mostly affects patients between the ages of 30 and 50 years old and usually Caucasian. I say hes stupid because Daddy is 80 years old and African American. It probably took him that long to cook up something to hit daddy with. Further, it said the cause of the disease is idiopathic which means that its origin is unknown. I know what the cause is: straight from the pit of hell. At any rate, it begs the question, how does a man who has lived above reproach for 60 years, been faithful to his wife, never cheated on her, served his congregation faithfully, has not abused his body end up with this? We already know it's demonic encroachment." But thanks to prayer, faith, support from his family and a great team of doctors, Apostle Price has come out on the other side. He's regained his vitality and is back at work and back on the road teaching--all at 81 years old. "He is at the top of his game at 81 years old and the devil is going to be so sad that he messed with my dad," said Angela.EIF

e begin our celebration of 40 years in ministry at Crenshaw Christian Center and at the same time 35 years of the Ever Increasing Faith broadcastnot too many programs run for 35 years. We're still on the air and still ministering to who god would have us to minister to.The work is still relevant and of course the field is still ripe.

Honoring A
By Pastor Fred Price

living legend
As we kick off these anniversaries, I want to look into what rendering honor means. We're familiar with the scripture that says that the elders are worthy of double honor. What's the bible talking about when it says that? It's easy to quote the scripture. It's easy to look at your leader and say that they're worthy of honor. But according to what the scripture says, are our leaders really worthy of honor or even double honor? Romans 13:7 says, "render therefore to all their due." Meaning this is what is owed them. We have to understand that the only reason that we're celebrating 40 years of Crenshaw Christian Center. The only reason that any of us are here present today is because of this man,

Apostle Frederick K.C. Price. We are to render honor to whom honor is due. Now, this word "due" is a strong word. It means, a sum owed; an obligation; a duty. So, the scripture is saying when someone is owed honor, they should receive it. This word "honor" in the greek is an English rendering of our word "time. It means value as in money paid. It means esteem, especially of the highest degree. It could also refer to the dignity itself, such as the honor or the price. For example, that which I value I give honor to. But also, when I value something, I honor it by valuing it alone. When I see a big price, on anything, I honor it even if I fear the price. For example, in the case of god, fearing something means to be in awe of Him or to have reverence for Him. When you have reverence for god, you honor Him. When you're in awe of god, you honor Him. While fear and honor are not synonymous terms, the one thing they do have in common is reverence. When you fear something, you reverence it. When you honor something, you reverence it. Now, there are some other meanings for honor. And there are some other meanings for fear, but the one thing they do have in common is reverence. There are so many individuals who have let us know how honored they are to hear the Word of god taught by my father. They are honored, but at the same time, they have no idea how much of an honor it is for him to teach them. The English Standard Version Study Bible has an interesting note regarding honor. Christians must not refuse to pay taxes simply because they think some of the money is used unjustly. For example, the Roman Empire at the time surely did not use all of its money for godly purposes. Believers are to honor their leaders even if they're not fully admirable. I may not agree with the Roman Empire, but when I see Caesar, I refer to him as what? Caesar. By the title alone, I'm giving him honor. So in that sense, we're still to honor our leaders and those in authority, even if we're not completely in agreement with everything they do and stand for. We're honoring the office. god has ordained the office. Now what about the double honor? Romans says render to whom honor is due. The

scripture is talking about a particular group: those who rule well. "let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor especially those who labor in the word and doctrine." To rule well means to do it honestly, beautifully and excellently. There should be no room for blame. I hate to say this, but all elders don't rule well so they're not counted worthy of double honor. That's what Apostle Price has done for 40 years. Double honor is for those who labor in word and doctrine. When my dad would do three services in a Sunday, he toiled. He labored. Every Sunday, dad was coming home to take a nap and he better not be disturbed. I knew that at 6:00 p.m. on the dot, he was waking up and then I could go see daddy. But until then, it was rest from his toil and labor. It was rest from the dispensing of the Word that brought great fatigue especially those who labor in it. I'm thinking of his teaching "Race, Religion, and Racism," for example. That was hard work. Three years of study. Three hundred books read. Work. Toil. labor. When the anointing lifts, he's weary. Praise god he can go rest and get recharged. But that's the labor that the verse is talking aboutgiving your life to this. Sometime you're drained. Sometimes you're too tired to do it. But it's the anointing that keeps you up. You've never seen a man work so hard to communicate effectively so that he's understood. Not only is he one who labors in what's done before the peoplein the delivery of the Word, but it's also in the living out of the Word. lastly the scripture says, "labor in the word and in doctrine." And the doctrine is what? The instruction and the information. We can't keep giving everybody double honor, now because all elders aren't ruling well. let alone ruling. Does our apostle qualify? I'd say he qualifies to be counted worthy of double honor, because he's done all that has been defined and beyond. At 80+ years old, he's still doing it everything that I do. It takes a lot of spiritual guts to stray away from the norm. It takes guts to do what Jesus asked Peter to do regarding his sheep: feed them and tend to them. So, he proved that he could be a fearless teacher and not sway to the

left or right. god needed a man who would put right above relationship. god needed a man who would prove in his decision-making that he loved god more than any man. When it didn't feel too good to separate from certain individuals, and then, not only that, but teach on subject matter that would be considered controversial, that would shake the very foundation of the church. He needed a man who was fearless enough and willing enough to do it. A man who, like Paul says in I Corinthians 2, whose faith was not in the wisdom of men, but in the power of god whose faith was so in the power of god that it wasn't about who he knew, but he could sleep well at night knowing it was god who he pleased and not man. We talk about "Race, Religion, and Racism" as a boat-rocker, But Apostle Price had many boat-rockers. Maybe they weren't on the magnitude of that one, or maybe people didn't put such emphasis on others, like that particular message, but all throughout his ministry he's been rattling to the core. He's been saying what many have thought on the inside but were afraid to say. god needed an Elijah who didn't care about thousands and thousands of prophets of Baal, but knew that the power of the one who backed him was greater than those prophets. Right now, in the body of Christ, there is an emergence of a gospel that appears to be powerful but really, it's powerless because it is about membership gaining, seat fillers, customers, selling books and filling up arenas. Still, god's making His name great. There are preachers who can fill up 20,000seat arenas, but when they run into my dad,or in close proximity of him, they have to meet him, touch him, say hello to him. Folk come into this FaithDome and say, "the one place I've never been, I'm finally here." Why does he still have that notoriety? He didn't seek it. He shuns it. He stays away from the limelight. He didn't get in this for that, yet god has made and is still making His name great. He's been proven and has overcome every single time. Everything that Apostle Price taught us, he's lived it. He's worked it and it has produced the results that he has been telling us it will produce.EIF

Q&A with Drs.

What exactly is the prayer of consecration and dedication that you have referred to in your teachings on prayer?

Fred and Betty Price

that's not an easy thing to contemplate. He was not only god manifested in the flesh, but He was also a human. He got tired, He got thirsty. So all that was in Him recoiled, as it was, from the prospect of having to be cut be off from the Father god. In essence, in the prayer in the garden of gethsemane, He was saying, "Father, if there is any other way that mankind can be redeemed without Me having to be cut off from You, can You find that way. Nevertheless, not My will but Your will be done. If it be Your will that We do this another way, I'll be in agreement with that. But if not, not My will, but Your will be done.

The prayer of consecration and dedication is the only prayer where we ever find Jesus using an "If it be thy will." And that was when He prayed in the garden of gethsemane, in reference to and just prior to Him going to the cross to become the lamb of god to take away the sin of the world. The crucifixion was going to require of Him to be spiritually cut-off from the Father god and He had never experienced being cut-off from the Father god. They always had intimate fellowship and there was never a breach between the two. If you've been with someone as long as Jesus was with the Father,
Unless otherwise indicated, Scripture quotations mentioned above are taken from the New King James Version of the Bible.

simple question, what would Jesus do? While our children will grow and make their own decisions and mistakes, its our job as parents to make sure they always have an answer to that question. In this article, we will look at two things every parent must do in order to ensure that their children have a strong, Christian worldview.

Knowing right and wrong makes you a moral person, but knowing why something is right and wrong makes you someone with a strong worldview.

Encourage the Question, Why.

As parents why can be one of the most annoying questions there is. Weve all experienced the, why loop. It is when a child asks you a question; you answer the question only to have the question of why thrown back at you. Then the process repeats over and over until you begin considering adoption. However, why is an important question that we must encourage. It is not good enough for our children to know what is right and what is wrong; they also must know why things are right and wrong. The reality is that you will not be able to teach your children the correct answer to every moral question but when we teach the process of determining what is right and wrong we create people that have the ability to make the right decision even if no one has told them the answer. Knowing right and wrong makes you a moral person, but knowing why something is right and wrong makes you someone with a strong worldview.
Scripture memorization

In cartoons, whenever a character has to make a tough decision, a little devil and angel version of themselves pops up on their shoulder. Its always entertaining to watch these characters wrestling with their decision. However in real life it is not

that easy. It is much harder to tell which voice is the devil and which voice is the angel. I cant tell you the number of times Ive had a tough decision to make and the only thing that saved me was a Bible verse from my youth. Psalm 119:11 says your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. It is the word of god that should shape our worldview. Through the lenses of scripture, is the only true way to see the world. However, we can never have those scriptures spring to mind if they are never placed in our heart and mind to begin with. By encouraging scripture memorization in our children we can ensure that they will have the necessary tools to make those tough decisions. The Christian worldview is under attack in modern society. Simply assuming your children will have a Christian worldview because they have grown up in a Christian home is no longer acceptable. There are too many forces working hard in order to get your child to see things their way. The war for your childs heart and mind starts the moment the television comes on and when they walk out of the door. The answer, because my parents said so, will no longer be enough. As parents you cannot fight this war for them but it is your duty to give them the proper weapons so that they can fight for themselves. giving them the answers to the question of why and putting the Word of god in their hearts will be those weapons. With that knowledge and understanding they will be able to come against any attack of the devil.EIF
