citizens’ confidence in our democratic
institutions. The Constitution of Canada was modified unilaterally in 1982 without
Quebec’s consent. This unilateral repatriati
on was based on a Supreme Court judgement. We believe it is important that the facts of this matter be known, in theinterest of our democratic institutions and to preserve public trust in theirintegrity. We hope to see the House of Commons unanimously adopt a motion callingfor the publication of all available documents relevant to this issue. We are asking you to indicate your interest in such a motion and whetheryou wish to participate in drafting a motion with us.Here is our proposal:
That this House call on the government to announce the measures it will undertake in response to the unanimous motion adopted by the Quebec National Assembly on April 16, 2013.
