includes a variety of institutions of higher education. Strong research and funding have helped make United States colleges and universities among the world's most prestigious, making them particularly attractive to international students, professors and researchers in the pursuit of academic excellence. According to the Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Academic Ranking of World Universities, more than 30 of the highest-ranked 45 institutions are in the United States (as measured by awards and research output). Public universities, private universities, liberal arts colleges, and community colleges all have a significant role in higher education in the United States. The American university system is largely decentralized. Public universities are administered solely by the individual states. Public universities generally offer lower tuition rates for in state students than out of state students. Universitas 21 ranked the country as having the best higher education system in the world in 2012. Cost was not considered in the rankings. Numerous organizations produce rankings of universities in the United States each year. A 2010 University of Michigan study has confirmed that the rankings in the United States have significantly affected colleges' applications and admissions. Referred to as the "granddaddy of the college rankings", America's bestknown American college and university rankings have been compiled since 1983 by U.S. News & World Report and are widely regarded as the most influential of all college rankings. The US is the most popular country in the world to study for international students, according to UNESCO. 16% of all international students go to the US.

Classmates are more important influence than parents on a childs success in school I can not completely agree with the statement that classmates are a more important influence than parents on a childs success in school. In this essay I will first focus on the reasons why I agree with this statement and then list a few points why in my opinion in some cases it is not true. From the one side, classmates have a significant influence on childs behaviour and his or her success in school. First of all, children spend much time at school. Classmates have many things in common such as age, interests, homework and classes after all. So, they discuss their impressions about a new teacher, solve problems together, learn their homework, gain new knowledge and experience and even make their own discoveries. Sharing all these makes them closer. Some of them become friends and they spend after-school time together. In addition friends tend to copy each others habits and manners. For instance, my little sister became friends with the girl who did not have good grades at school at that time. It does not mean she could not have better grades; she just had many friends who did not care about their grades. So, when they started to spend their time together and share their interests, girls grades improved. They did their homework together, shared their dreams and exciting moments. From this point I must agree that classmates can change childs attitude towards school. On the other hand, parents have a great influence on childrens success in school too. For example if parents show an interest in their childs progress and talk to him or her about the importance of learning I think their child will listen to them and do his or her best. Personally, I believe that relationships between parents and a child play an essential role in childs success in school. If these relationships are close and wholehearted I am sure that parents should not be afraid of bad influence from the outside.

There are several kinds of influences behind the success of a child. If somebody asks my consent whether classmates are more influential to a child than parents, I will definitely choose parents as the most important influence behind a child's success in school. That is why because I consider some worth saying points in favor of parents role. A child passes only three or four hours a day in the school. On the other hand the rest of the day and night time parents are his best friends. A child, having a soft mind, is influenced by his parents mostly as he passes his maximum time with parents. If a mother/father is serious, it is no wonder that the child will be serious in his study. So if the parents of that child ask him to follow a nice routine in home, he can be well organized and be motivated to the victory. In addition to this, home tutors effect greatly in a child's success in school. A young kid faces some problem understanding his lesson in the class. It is the parents who can provide a child a good tutor for sharpening his understanding capabilities. Truly speaking, other than a home tutor parents can be a great tutor for him as well as a great mentor. They can understand theirs kid's psychology best. Besides, timeliness is a key factor in a students life. Good guidance from parents can help the child a lot to maintain his school time. A good student always maintains his school time and it is the parents and not the classmates who can bring a child to the school in time. Finally, success depends on communication because study is also very competitive nowadays. A good communicative father and mother can not only discover their childs weakness, but also can emphasize on what to study in what time. it is the concerned parents who always keep a good relation with both the teachers of the school and parents of good students. This kind of sharing can be really effective. Therefore, it is the parents who can play a vital role besides the success of a child. Of course the classmates of a child play some important role to his success but it cannot exceed the importance of parents in a child's student life. They are the most effective influence for the success of children.

Use your knowledge to write a short article about People of Art that impressed you most Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian Renaissance polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. His genius, perhaps more than that of any other figure, epitomized the Renaissance humanist ideal. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance Man, a man of "unquenchable curiosity" and "feverishly inventive imagination". He is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived. According to art historian Helen Gardner, the scope and depth of his interests were without precedent and "his mind and personality seem to us superhuman, the man himself mysterious and remote". Marco Rosci states that while there is much speculation about Leonardo, his vision of the world is essentially logical rather than mysterious, and that the empirical methods he employed were unusual for his time. Leonardo was and is renowned primarily as a painter. Among his works, the Mona Lisa is the most famous and most parodied portrait. Leonardo is revered for his technological ingenuity. He conceptualised a helicopter, a tank, concentrated solar power, a calculator, and the double hull, and he outlined a rudimentary theory of plate tectonics. Relatively few of his designs were constructed or were even feasible during his lifetime, but some of his smaller inventions, such as an automated bobbin winder and a machine for testing the tensile strength of wire, entered the world of manufacturing unheralded. He made important discoveries in anatomy, civil engineering, optics, and hydrodynamics, but he did not publish his findings and they had no direct influence on later science.

What would you do to make your dreams come true? How important are our dreams? Dreams are very important because they are given by God and meant to come true. Most people have had dreams as far back as they can remember. Unfortunately, many people have come to believe that their dreams would never come true. This belief has an impact on how we perceive the value of our dreams in relation to our achievements. More and more we tend to believe our dreams will never have anything to do with our achievements, and our achievements will never have anything to do with our dreams. So we begin dreaming less and less until we dream no more. When dreams die that is when we begin to "...live a life of quiet desperation." It is easy to become cynical and blame our circumstances on everything around us. We can look at others who have achieved their dreams and conclude that they were just lucky, or in the right place at the right time. But what many people fail to realize is that these people also had many failed dreams before their dreams became reality. What set these individuals apart from others? It wasn't a change in their circumstances that made the difference, but a change in their attitude. Through their many failures they realized that in order to turn their dreams into reality they would have to become more than just dreamers; they would have to become daring dreamers. When we are young we tend to be day dreamers, believing one day our ship will come in and take us where we want to go. All we have to do it wait. Luck seems to be an important word in our vocabulary. Lets face it, if we believe that luck is the key to success we will never have to point the finger at ourselves as the reason for failure. What is a daring dreamer? Someone who is willing to change in order to turn his dream into a reality. You decide whether your dream will happen! You just wait, you can want, you can hope that help will come as a snap, but all this is to limit the chance. And do you wonder why you just was chosen for this hazard? What makes you so special between 6 billion that without any effort get the tray dream fulfilled? This life is not waiting. Instead it means to make decisions: You have said what you want, or say that you cannot right now. The most important key to a dream to come true is to make personal investments. Commitment and action are needed for dreams to come true. Expectations, desires and dreams without commitment do not make anything happen. People who can help you will not occur for what-if or can I .

The lack of support of the loved ones or those around us are a convenient excuse. But thats the wrong reaction. If we want to fulfill our dream, we must be able to explain to anyone how these dreams can become reality. And this requires thought, strategy and action. We all have a choice in life that will effect our dreams and how they impact others. We can choose to be givers or takers. If we choose to be takers our primary goal is probably going to be get rich quick and not worry about the body count along the way. This is the lazy man's route to what he considers success. But becoming wealthy is not a valid dream. It is very easy to work hard but not smart in our efforts to turn our dreams into reality. If you don't work smart, all your hard work will be a waste of time. I think of not working smart as majoring on the minors. Spending too much time on the least important things you need to do. An example would be a business owner who spends most of his/her time on things like bookkeeping or web site design, rather than on income producing activities like building relationships with potential prospects. Many people fall into this trap because their is no fear factor involved in these types of activities. Failure is a natural part of the journey to success. It happens to everyone. The greatest achievers in history all had many failures before they became great successes. They didn't give up after a few failures but continued to look for new ways to reach their goal. It is very important never to base your self-worth on your performance. Rather than saying to yourself, I am a failure, say I have discovered one more way that doesn't work. This is what Edison said to himself when trying to invent a light bulb. He failed over 1000 times. Your dreams should never be regarded lightly. They are given to you for a reason. It is your purpose to make your dreams come true by serving others. This will involved stepping out of your comfort zone and doing things you don't like to do for awhile.Taking the focus off your own needs, wants and desires and focusing on the needs of others leads to success. You have a choice. Do the things that are outside your comfort zone now, and end up living your dreams, or always remain within your comfort zone and end up living with regret.

Write a list of tourist attractions in London. Describe one of them The most popular tourist attractions in London are: Buckingham Palace, The Houses of Parliament, St Pauls Cathedral, Tower Bridge, The Merlin Entertainment London Eye. The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel situated on the banks of the River Thames in London, England. The entire structure is 135 metres tall and the wheel has a diameter of 120 metres. It is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, visited by over 3.5 million people annually. When erected in 1999 it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, until surpassed first by the 160 m Star of Nanchang in 2006 and then the 165 m Singapore Flyer in 2008. Supported by an Aframe on one side only, unlike the taller Nanchang and Singapore wheels, the Eye is described by its operators as "the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel". It offered the highest public viewing point in the city until it was superseded by the 245-metre observation deck on the 72nd floor of The Shard, which opened to the public on 1 February 2013. The London Eye, or Millennium Wheel, was officially called the British Airways London Eye and then the Merlin Entertainments London Eye. Since 20 January 2011, its official name is the EDF Energy London Eye following a three-year sponsorship deal. The London Eye adjoins the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames between Westminster Bridge and Hungerford Bridge, in the London Borough of Lambeth. The site is adjacent to that of the former Dome of Discovery, which was built for the Festival of Britain in 1951.

One is rich when he/she has friends. Friendship is a feeling of love and affection of one person for another. This feeling of love must be reciprocated. Otherwise friendship cannot be possible. Friendship does not exist where tastes, feelings and sentiments are not similar. The famous essayist Bacon has warned against the friendship between a very rich person and a very poor person. Economic disparity damages friendship. Thus friendship is a feeling of affection between two likeminded persons of uniform status. It is said that a friend in need is a friend in deed. There may be many friends at the time of prosperity. But most of them desert at the time of adversity. We can examine the sincerity of a friend during our time of hardship and trouble. Only a sincere and faithful friend remains with us at the time of our trouble. All others leave us. It is very painful when our friends turn traitors. Money is an enemy of friendship. Everybody has an attraction for money. When lending or borrowing of money is done between two friends, there is great risk. Friendship may be affected. So it is wise for true friends to avoid monetary transaction. Vanity is another element which breaks friendship. Everybody has self-respect. When a person tries to criticise his friend, their friendship is affected. So friendship must be treated very delicately. Very often some hypocrites pretend to be friends. They are more dangerous than avowed enemies. By telling soft words they bring enormous ruin to us. A true friend never exploits. He rather surrenders. But at present, the meaning of friendship has changed. There are many fair-weathered friends. They terminate their friendly tie as soon as their interests are fulfilled. It is very difficult to find a true friend today. It is better to establish true friendship with either a dog or an elephant. Both these beasts will remain faithful to their human friends. Today, friendship between two persons is short-lived. Good friends exercise good influence. They always help their friends, in distress and inspire them to walk on the right path. But evil friends ruin us completely.

Someone to trust in is so hard to find nowadays. Friends are like diamonds, precious and rare. A friend, who stayed in our life, is the one with characteristics that makes our days better. Being: loyal, supportive and honest describes the true friend. Loyalty is a necessity in any relationship. A good friend is loyal to the friendship. Being loyal means stands by friends side in their good or bad moments. While some people change a problem to a weapon to destroy a person, a loyal friend wont let such situation a way for gossiping in friends back. Being loyal is being faithful or. In particular, keeping the secrets of the friends is very important. Moreover, the loyal friend is someone one who you rely on when you are in trouble, when no one understands yours behaviors a stands by when u need attention. To be supportive is to have the power of listening and ability to be always ready to listen to ones problems. Equally important, friends offer encouragement and positive support: showing them the skills they have. But, forget to say the negative issues if they arent build .Besides, friends try to be accessible at any time .being supportive means being there, even if far away and can only communicate by phone, email, or some other method. Being supportive means physically being present if you can be and offering your help and encouragement in good times and bad. Honesty is equal to trust, and trust eventually builds respect. Saying the truth is hard however, phrase it in a manner that comes from respect, will have a good feedback. Moreover, showing respect shows value, this will always let friend feel free and reliable when they ones are near. Being a good friend is being honest and then being there for your friend when that honesty is a blow to their emotions.
