2013 Berkshire Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)Solicitation for Economic Development Projects
The Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) on behalf of the Berkshire CEDS Committee issoliciting economic development projects for listing on the 2013 Berkshire CEDS Priority Project list. TheCEDS Priority Project list is a listing of all the economic development projects happening or being planned for Berkshire County. We encourage you to submit projects in all stages of development from concepts to projectsnearing implementation/construction.The CEDS Priority Project list has many uses. The list provides an opportunity for project sponsors tomake their projects known to the community and to others who may be able to provide assistance with projectdevelopment. The list is also used by various agencies and organizations when making decisions on how to best direct limited resources on economic development in Berkshire County
. Finally, a project’s listing on the
Priority Project list satisfies one of the eligibility criteria for obtaining funding from the EconomicDevelopment Administration.We ask that you please take the time to complete the attached forms and submit your project to the CEDSCommittee to review and consider its placement on the 2013 Priority Project list.More information about the CEDS process and the 2011 Berkshire Comprehensive EconomicDevelopment Strategy is available at http://berkshireplanning.org/major-initiatives/berkshire-comprehensive-economic-development-strategy-ceds/.Please note that the 2013 Priority Project solicitation is a new projectsolicitation. Therefore all project proponents should complete and submit the attached forms, even if your  project is listed on the 2011 Priority Project list contained in the 2011 Berkshire CEDS.Please contact Brian Domina at (413) 442-1521 ext. 14 or   bdomina@berkshireplanning.org for additional information or questions.
