Ecommerce Startup Internship Description:
True Goods is looking for excited, passionate and hard-working interns for our Ecommerce Startup InternshipProgram!
We will be bringing in a group of students across all parts of the business to gain experience in our fast-paced sociallyresponsible and quality curated e-commerce organization. Interns will be part of a small team of seasoned startup professionalsand learn the ins and outs of our business.The Copywriter/Online Editorial internship will provide hands-on exposure to the world of online content and communications. Candidates will create unique content relating to a range of topics andexploringcomplex health and environmental issues associated with toxic chemicals and human/environmental safety. They will also trackmarket trends and consumer sentiment and create content related to greenwashing practices, eco-consciousness, organicproducts, and online retail spending behaviors, among many other ‘hot topic’ issues.Interns willbe key members of both theeditorial content and marketing communications teams and work directly with the CEO, gaining hands-on experience through writing and editing a variety of digital content and strategic marketing communications materials. They’ll also perform othersupport functions within the departments to assist the editorial and creative staff as a whole.
Intern will be performing the following tasks:
- Newsletter articles- Research-based editorial articles for the site’s library area- Promotional and PR materials- Blog, Twitter and Facebook Posts- HTML e-mail copy - Web copy and Internet communications - PowerPoint presentations - Advertising copy/signage - Research online marketing/communications best practices - Compiling survey feedback or other research data for reporting - Administrative functions such as email service provider support, marketing program support, etc. - Participate on weekly team meetings/calls
Skills and attributes interns are expected to have:
- Interest in safe, eco-conscious products and healthy living/lifestyle factors- Outgoing, self-motivated, innovative, socially-conscious, collaboratively driven team player- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editorial skills- Have an eye for savvy messaging and quality design- Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to enhance our content/communications strategies- Ability to relate editorial strategies to an identified target market- Ability to contribute individually, as well as participate in cross-functional collaborative teams
