INTRODUCTION
At the beginning oh the 20th ,it was generrally held true
within the fashion world that photography represented reality only imperfectly and was therebefore inferior to painting and sclupture as and art form. At best, photography
was afforded second-class status. This was a strage opinion if we consider that at the time fashion illustration was
limited to plain, unembellished photography. This would all
change as soon as Paul entered the fashion sence.
