Drainage District 86, an open drainage ditch north of Lytton running north and south on Yankee Ave andis about a half mile long. Almost 1 year ago, the Sac Supervisors were petitioned to clean it out. Theditch needs to be deeper than a mere cleanout due to the fact that there is a tile beneath it that keepscreating big holes in the bottom of the open ditch and messing with the flow of the water. This tileempties into shared Drainage District 2 and 52, as does Drainage District 86. In order to correct theproblem, the county will eliminate the tile starting at the point after it comes into Drainage District 86and merely let it empty into 86 since it all goes to the same place. The plans and the specs werepresented to the supervisors by I&S and were approved.
Lisa Bethune, the County’s mental health services coordinator appeared bef
ore the supervisors toreport that she will pay an initial $260k in claims from state transition funds. The state earmarked forSac County $372,522.00 in funds for paying state claims.
