ittcrit: An Indian Response to Literature is an reereed academic journal published rom rivandrum rom 1975 onwards withcirculation in India and abroad. It has contributed substantially to the literary and cultural deliberations across the country since itsinception. Te 75th issue o the journal is being brought out in June 2013.o commemorate this event, the editorial board o Littcrit proposes toorganize a three-day conerence.

Te theme o the conerence is Humour: exts, Contexts. Humour is aubiquitous aspect o culture that has been largely neglected in the academicdomain, but recently salvaged by Cultural Studies. Te conerence willhighlight the interdisciplinary relevance o humour research, rom theperspectives o literary studies, education, psychology, anthropology,sociology, politics, religion, philosophy, business, healthcare, andothers. Tere will be invited lectures on the various acets o humour,its unctions and relationships, on humour theories, and how humour varies according to culture, age, gender, purpose and context. Papersand poster presentations will be invited rom academics, scholars andstudents rom various universities and departments across the country under the ollowing sub-categories:
