RECAP: The Rainiers were limited to only 3 hits as Tacoma was shutout by Reno 0-7 and snapping their 10-game winning streak on
Saturday afternoon. Starter Blake Beavan (5.0,7,5,5,1,3,HR) recorded the loss, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits in 7.0 innings. It was his first start
with Tacoma after being optioned from Seattle on May 1. RH Brian Sweeney (2.0,0,0,0,0,2) struck out 2 in 2.0 perfect innings in relief,
while RH Andrew Kittredge (2.0,5,2,2,1,0) allowed 2 runs in the top of the 8th inning. CF Nate Tenbrink (1x3, BB), 3B Alex Liddi (1x3)
and SS Carlos Triunfel (1x3) each recorded 1 of the Rainiers 3 hits.

PCL AWARDS: INF Nick Franklin was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week and RHPAndrew Carraway was named the
leagues Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 22-28. Over the last 7 days, Franklin has batted .474 (9x19) with 7 runs scored, 3
doubles, 1home run, 6RBI and 6 walks in 5 games. Franklin ranked 10th in the league with 9 hits over that span, highlighted by a 5-for-5
outing at Las Vegas on April 25 He was the 2nd Rainiers player to record at least 5 hits in a game, while reaching base 6 times reaching
with 3 runs scored, 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 1 walk. Carraway flirted with a no-hitter in his lone appearance last week on April 26 at Las
Vegas. He held the 51s hitless through 6.1 innings and ended the night surrendering just 2 hits and striking out 5 batters through 7.0
scoreless frames. He has earned a win in each of his last three starts and has compiled a 3.38 ERA through 5 outings this season. This
marks the first time Tacoma has swept the weekly league awards since Abraham Nunez won Player of the Week honors and Masao Kida

RECAP: The Generals scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to take a 6-5 lead, but allowed
2 runs in the top of the 6th inning as Jackson lost to Jacksonville 7-6 on Saturday. The loss meant
16 of the 28 games played so far this year have one-run affairs. The Generals are 5-11 in those
games. Game two of the doubleheader was cancelled due to unplayable field conditions and
threatening rain. The game will not be made up this season. Starter Anthony Fernandez
(4.2,6,5,5,3,3,2HR) allowed 5 runs on 6 hits in 4.2 innings, but didnt factor into the decision. RH
Jonathan Arias (1.1,3,2,2,2,2,HR) recorded the loss after allowing a 2-run home run in the 6th
inning. RH Forrest Snow (1.0,0,0,0,0,1) struck out 1 in a 1-2-3 9th inning. SS Gabriel Noriega
(3x3, 2 R, 3B) led the team with 3 hits, while C John Hicks (2x4, R) and 3B Vinnie Catricala (2x4,
R, 2B, 3 RBI) each recorded multi-hit games.
OF NOTE: RHP Taijuan Walker has allowed only 2 earned runs in his last 5 starts (6 R), lowering
his season ERA from 7.20 to 1.54. Overall this season, he is 3-2 with a 1.54 ERA (6 ER, 35.0 IP) in

HITTING FOR THE CYCLE: Abraham Almonte (4x5, 2 R, 2B, 3B, HR, 4 RBI) completed the cycle
on April 27 at Chattanooga. It was the first cycle in Jackson franchise history, dating back to 1998,
when the Generals were known as the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. But it was the 2nd cycle in 10
days for a Mariners prospect after Carlos Triunfel accomplished the feat for Triple-A Tacoma on
April 17. Almonte hit a solo homer in in the third inning, a bases-loaded triple in the 4th inning, and
singled in the 5th and got his 5th RBI of the evening. After being called out on strikes in the 6th
inning, Almonted lined a 2-2 pitch to right field for a double to complete the cycle.

RECAP: The Mavericks scored 5 runs over the 6th and 7th inning, including a 4-run 6th inning, to come-from-behind to defeat Lancaster 53 on Saturday. Starter Stephen Landazuri (4.2,4,2,2,3,7) allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and struck out 7 in 4.2 innings, but didnt figure into the
decision. RH Bobby Shore (1.1,2,1,1,0,1) recorded his first win of the season, allowing 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings in relief. RH Matt
Brazis (2.0,0,0,0,0,5) struck out 5 in 2.0 perfect innings, while RH Stephen Shackleford (1.0,0,0,1,1) record his 6th save of the season
with a scoreless 9th inning. SS Chris Taylor (2x4, R, 2B) and C Steven Baron (2x4, R, HR, 2 RBI) led the team with 2 hits, while Baron
