interaction, thereby creating inefficiencies in social and economicrelations.Towards the foremost--------------------------What is more ... The love of the human heart cannot be contained or confined within the bounds of material acquisition and achievement. There is inherent in the human heart a natural desire for that which isexpansive, that which is mystical, that which is beyond the mundane.Societies which try, in one fashion or another, to suppress thisnatural human longing are bound to create oppression. Materialism, beit communism or capitalism, suppresses this longing - it suppresses themystical tendencies of the individual.Materialism can never be the foremost object of importance, notcollectively, not individually. Those within the influence of thecommunist society find lack of motivation to continue their workbecause there is no incentive. Those within the capitalist society areso incentive-driven that they lose themselves in their work. So, bothsystems have failed to address the fundamental needs of the humanbeings. Only in a co-operative economy can there be effort to meet thebasic necessities of the individual and to limit the excesses of individual hoarding in the physical realm. In these ways, theprogressive socialist approach is more inline with humanitarianism. Butthere is another thing and that is to provide incentive for people torender more and more service to society in a meritorious andoutstanding way. That incentive is not for selfish gain but is providedin terms of a person's service orientation to society. The concept of identical needs for all is impossible to achieve. It is important toencourage dynamic socially useful work in society. All of the systems present today are lacking in understanding andsupport of the fundamental urge for mysticism in human life - the urgeto expand the mind from psychological to psycho-spiritual - towards newfrontiers. They are so wanting to resolve religious conflict that theyhave not known how to address this aspect of human existence. Theleaders themselves who have formed the policies and governments havebeen confused on these issues. There are those who want revolution; there are those who want changesin policy, but where are those who understand the deep and subtleleanings of the human being as a physico-psycho-spiritual entity ...and not to promote one religion but who understand the inherent qualityof the human mind. That is why there is a need for the rise into acentred focus of those individuals who have both an understanding of psychology and psycho-spirituality as well as of the basic physicalneeds of humans beings and society. This involves an understanding of the fundamental needs of human beings to be free of oppression, to havetheir basic human needs met and to have food, water, clothing, shelter, education, health care, transportation and the like and to haveincentives to do great works; and also an understanding of the larger ecological and sociological systems, and desire for one united humansociety - for the good and happiness of all.
