Professor James Barber, who is serving asRMIT Vietnam president until the middle of2009, is himself an RMIT graduate. He hashad extensive experience in academicmanagement and leadership and policy inuniversities in Australia and Canada. Duringhis career, Professor Barber has worked atFlinders University, University of Toronto andcurrently at RMIT University Melbourne.Professor Barber has a Bachelor of Arts(First Class Honors) and a Bachelor ofScience, a Master of Social Work and aDoctorate in Experimental Psychology. RMIT University in Australia has beenmoving over the past year to develop a newand more consistent visual identity – acommon ‘look’ and ‘feel’ that will be appliedto all publications, advertising, signs andbanners, and online communications. Theintent is to produce a unique style thatencapsulates “the RMIT Brand”.The new look is being applied to thisnewsletter, as well as to the new 2009Student Diaries, Program Guides, and a newRMIT Vietnam website. RMIT Vietnam hasjust launched Phase 1 of its new website.The new site has the same look and similarRMIT Vietnam’s MBA students met withGeorgetown University’s MBA students intwo evening exchange sessions on Tuesday3 March and Wednesday 4 March.Vietnam was chosen for the 8th consecutiveyear by the McDonough School of Businessat Georgetown University, United States ofAmerica, to be the destination for its MBAstudents’ international field projects.During the joint session, MBA students fromboth universities made team presentationscontent structure as the one in Melbourne.There are also improved links between thetwo sites to convey the ‘dual hub’ relation-ship between the two campuses.The new design approach is consistentacross all countries and locations in whichRMIT operates, but with some adaptationto suit particular local needs.The “new look” RMIT Vietnam website isat:www.rmit.edu.vn
