Subject: Wilde Lake Village Election
When my husband, Lloyd Knowles, and I arrived home this
weekend from the legislative session in Annapolis , we found
our mail-in ballots for the Wilde Lake Village Election. We
each own property in the village and are, therefore, entitled
to a vote.
During the weekend we have been approached by several Wilde Lake residents asking whether we were willing to say for whom we plan to vote.
We responded that we are voting for Phil Kirsch to remain as
the CA Board rep from Wilde Lake. We have watched the
CA Board quite closely this year because of our deep
interest in the future development of Downtown Columbia
and its impact on Wilde Lake. Phil, a somewhat quiet man,
has spoken out repeatedly on behalf of the interests of
residents. He is aware that change does occur, AND that it
should be in the interests of both those residents to
come AS WELL AS those who are here already. He has
demonstrated that he is willing to ask the tough questions of
the land owners and developers.
Phil was an early proponent of having Governor Warfield
Parkway preserved as a scenic road, and the county
subsequently passed legislation doing just that.
