Picture Study and Copywork
Created by Julie - Butterflies and Barefoot LassesHello! I created these pages for my 4th and 5th graders. They will be converting the print into cursive.Of course, these sentences can be copied in print as well for younger students. Have your studentsanswer the questions and point out the statements as you move through these sentences. Do a fewsentences a day or all of the sentences for a particular painting. Encourage your student to point outdetails in the paintings that are not mentioned in the sentences. I have left drawing spaces for many of the paintings for your student to experiment. Use them for sketching or painting; whatever you wish!Enjoy! If you wish to share these PDFs with others, please direct them to my blog posthttp://butterfliesandbarefootlasses.blogspot.com/2013/04/copywork-and-picture-study.html instead of sharing the PDF directly. Thank you for that!

Who is camping at the foot of the mountains? The mountains are greenish-blue with white swirls. The sunlight's golden rays shine through the clouds. There are many horses in this camp.

If you were in this scene, what would you smell? The waterfall cascades down a cliff in the distance. This painting makes one feel serene. There are many shadows among the trees and tents.
