Also, I further suggest taking laser-quality print-outs for these documents rather than keeping them for ever in their electronic form. I generally scan documents, keeping in view this vital aspect of printing convenience.

I scan these documents all myself. But I am trying my best to upload books in the lightest possible file sizes. One casualty of picture compression is the poor pixel quality of the output image. So, it has been a herculean task to maintain balance between these conflicting objectives. Now, I am experimenting with Image2PDF softwares. Soon, I hope, we will stumble upon a solution.
