Grade 3 EQAO Testing
E
QAO begins at the end of the month. Staff and students have beenpreparing all year for these days. Our Grade 3 and 6 students willcontinue to have practice sessions right up to their dates. We will bediscussing more about the testing with the children as the timeapproaches. Please call if you have questions or concerns. We also appreciateyou not scheduling dentist, doctor and other appointments within this timeperiod. Grade 3 students will write during the week of May 27
th
. Grade 6 students will begin on June 4
th
. Extra water bottles and snacks would be appreciatedduring these days.
If you are planning to attend your child’s class trip, you are reminded that
youmust have a current Criminal Reference Check
on file at the office. Acriminal reference check can sometimes take up to six weeks, so now is the timeto get it done. Forms are available in the office. When you drop them and youridentification off at the local police station, do tell them that you are volunteering in a school. A personal thank you to our wonderful Grade 8 class, led by Mr. Chalmers, who were exceptional with creating eight rounds of trivia questions for our TriviaNight. Special thanks to Agnes and Allie who were terrific Emcees (loved theoutfits!), to Kara and Selena for their marking and patience as we sorted out a few questionable answers, and to Waylon, who added the scores and took care of thecanteen for us, then, par usual, helped with the cleanup. I am so
 very
proud of our students. To the donors, event planners, and sponsors, than
 you

as well. We are truly “ThePlace to Bee” due in large part to your generosity and commitment to our school
community.
Together we make our community strong.
