V For Veronica2 April 20098:02pm Turpin Way, AlbertSquareDanielle’s death comes toexistenceRonnie held Danielle’shand as they move to theambulance, Ronnie still had theimage of her long lostdaughter’s perfect blonde hairand the life slip away from hereyes and feeling the warmthfade away into the coldness of the street.She wasn’t looking at Danielle she was looking at a shell.Ronnie wiped the blood from Danielle’s lips and shouted at Janine tocall an ambulance, Roxy ran holding up her dress. The ambulance drifted away Ronnie rubbed her fingers feeling theblood slowly dry on her finger tips, her hand turned into a fist and hit Janine in the stomach, the police arrive and Ronnie walks off with Roxy,Stacey turned round running home with a bottle of Vodka.Ronnie and Roxy lay in bed Ronnie stared at the window hearing thesirens echo through the square, Roxy held Ronnie in her arms, they heardAmy cry from time to time but the sisters wondered why had their ownfather threw out his own and how long had he known.Archie sat in the same room Danielle had slept in that same day, hismind was filled with fury of what the Mitchells had done to him, he wantedthem to pay but he thought he had a few last ties to the family hisdaughter and new wife, he sat in the darkness of the room holding thebottle of wine he took after storming out of the Vic, he smiled with thenews of Danielle’s death ringing in his ears. The room was quiet and thewind was beating around the square it was knocking on Ronnie’s window.“Danielle?” Ronnie spoke, Roxy started to worry was she losing hermind and Roxy looked at the back of Ronnie’s head smelling the peachesof her shampoo.3

April 2009 The Sun arose and Ronnie hadn’t slept much Roxy had left to seePeggy drive off in Phil’s jaguar, Ronnie awoke to hear the jag sped off away from the square she thought she was back in that street seeing thedeath happen again. Roxy walked in and held her sister again, Ronnieclimbed out of the bed and washed her hands seeing blood which wasn’tthere.
 
She wished to see Danielle, she got dressed and was held back byher little sister, Ronnie shoved her sister aside and walked out the sideentrance, the streets were normal Ronnie stared at the people wonderingthrough the square like nothing had happened.She walked across the square to number 23 to see Stacey theywouldn’t allow her to explain herself and she was sent back home, Ronniebumped into Jack she pushed him away, she saw Danielle’s adoptiveFather, she walked into the Minute Mart and searched through the cardsMax walked in and saw her, he tried to provide comfort for her and pickedtulips.As she left she looked into the crowds and thought she sawsomething in his car, she shrugged her shoulders and strolled down to Turpin Way holding the flowers, she rubbed her locket now changed with apicture of Danielle she took from her work files, she saw the piles of flowers for her daughter and Andy with his hands in his pockets staringdown at the ground, Ronnie placed the flowers down, they spoke and theydrove off down to the police station.As they saw the blinds reveal the pale Danielle Ronnie tried to fighther way to her.“Why can’t I hold her!?” she shouted, Andy looked and put thepieces together, he knew she was the mother, as the blinds closed andRonnie held her breath she saw tried to control the anger and sadness inher heart, inside her mind she could hear Danielle’s voice.“Save me from the world that’s so unkind mom” Andy questionedRonnie asking who she is but he knew who she was, she tried to fight forher daughter.“You killed her You Killed Danielle” he said, he slammed the doorbehind him, Ronnie started to punch the wall seeing the cuts develop tillthe blood pumped freely, she held her hands and slid down the wall to thefloor crying for Danielle, a woman walked in with her hoodie covering herface just strands of blonde hair was all that Ronnie could see.“You ok?”“Yeah I’m fine I need to see my dad” Ronnie climbed to her feet andwalked out of the room, the woman stared at Ronnie and pulled herhoodie down to rub her head before shoving the hoodie back on.Ronnie ran out of the station into the square picking up a bottle fromthe bin holding it to her side, she noticed Janine and Archie staring at eachother, she dropped the bottle clenching her fist before running to Archieand punching him across the face then she swung round punching Janine. Jack and Roxy see Archie and Janine on the floor with Ronniestanding over them with blood dripping down her hands, Jack ran towardsher and held her back.“Ronnie hold it back use it later they will pay, I will help” hewhispered in her ear, they walked off.Roxy stayed with Ronnie whilst Jack walked back to number 29 hewalked to his safe and grabbed his warrant card, he phoned his contact inthe police.“Yeah I need an item” all muffling on the phone
