- Following the Nationwide Tea Party blowout held on February 27 inmultiple cities around the nation, including on Lafayette Park in Washington, DC,conservative grassroots organizations and free market activists will once again cometogether on Tax Day, April 15th, to protest out-of-control government spending.Timed to coincide with the date by which Americans must pay their federal incometaxes, the National Tax Day Tea Party effort is coordinated by DontGo(www.dontgomovement.com), Smart Girl Politics (www.smartgirlpolitics.ning.com), together with co-sponsors like Americans for Prosperity, Michelle Malkin, the AmericanSpectator, and Freedom Works.
 
Now, with the National Tax Day Tea Parties to be held in over 400 cities throughout thecountry on April 15. Washington, DC's Tax Day Tea Party will be marked by both aNational stage at the US Treasury, highlighting the efforts and voices from nationalleaders, and a grassroots stage at Lafayette Park for local leaders and citizens. Thisdual location event will show the power of the National movement in one location.
