for Discussions
Purpose: To come to a wider understanding of the problem at hand through learner thinking, active participation, ensuring all voices are heard, and building on one anothers thinking.

Procedure: The facilitator will pose a question for discussion Once a learner begins by sharing their thinking, other learners continue to build on the discussion by saying Yes, and.... All further discussion must begin with Yes, and... When discussion of a question has been exhausted, the facilitator may move to a new question

Ground Rules: Maintain our norms (trust, respect, responsibility) Be active listeners Stay focused on the topic - be specific to the problem at hand Give your input, but watch air time; only speak twice until all learners have spoken at least once Ask questions - seek clarification when needed Stick to the protocol
