R TO PURCHASE IN RESPECT OF 25 SILVELA ROAD, SANDOWN EXTENSION 36 1. We represent Mr Norman Tloubatla (our client) and have been instructed to address yo u on our clients behalf as set out below. 2. Having considered many of todays newspapers and having watched some news programmes our client is deeply concerned about the wild, inaccurate and unfounded statements that are being reported about him. 3. Our client has made an offer to purchase the property at 25 Silvela Road, Sandown Extension 36 (the property) and has not purchased the property as has been widely reported. Our clients offer is still subject to acceptance by the individuals appointed as curator bonis of Mr Julius Malemas estate, who still have 21 (twenty one) days to accept the offer. 4. Furthermore, certain newspapers have, without any justification whatsoever, made wild and inaccurate statements in respect of and concerning our client and his association and/or relationship with certain individuals. The New Age newspaper even went so far as to, incorrectly, report that our client is a close associate of and has close personal ties to Mr Julius Malema and that Magnified Designs (Pty) Ltd (a company of which our client is the CEO) was involved in road projects in Limpopo. These allegations are simply untrue. Our client is of the view that these unfounded statements have been included in newspaper articles without any basis whatsoever or without any due diligence by the journalists concerned and solely for the purpose of creating an illusion of scandal (by associating our client with Mr Julius Malema) for the purpose of selling newspapers. 5. We are advised that our client has never met or spoken with either Mr Julius Malema or Mr Lesiba Gwangwa nor has he or Magnified Designs (Pty) Ltd had any dealings, of any

nature, with either of these two individuals or any of their companies nor has Magnified Designs (Pty) Ltd been involved in any road projects in Limpopo.

There has further been unwarranted speculation about the price our client bid in respect of the property and on which the hammer fell. The reality is that the price at an auction is driven by the bidders over which our client obviously has no control. Our client eventually only offered R50 000.00 (fifty thousand rand) more than what the other remaining bidder had offered.

We specifically request, on behalf of our client, that the newspapers that have made these baseless and unsupported statements provide, to our offices, full and complete details of the investigations they undertook and the source(s) they allegedly spoke with in order to be able to satisfy themselves of the veracity of such statements, before publishing the statements in national newspapers.

Our client considers many of the comments made about him and/or Magnified Designs (Pty) Ltd in todays press as defamatory and his rights in this regard are strictly reserved. We trust however that there will be no need to take any further action as you have now all been made aware of the facts. Should however any further defamatory, unfounded, baseless and/or inaccurate statements about our client and/or Magnified Designs (Pty) Ltd be published we have instructions to pursue legal recourse against the relevant party.

Our client believes in free, fair and responsible reporting. This, in our clients opinion, has clearly not happened in this instance. Our client is a private person and requests that his privacy be honoured and respected and therefore requests that all attempts to contact him cease immediately.
