Recently the MA Board of Library Commissioners awarded the Town of Barre a $15k grant to repair the Barre Library Association's (a private nonprofit).

 The Board of Library Trustees. These are elected officials who have been authorized to oversee the dailyoperation of the Woods Memorial Library. They allegedly represent the public’s interest.With all the secretive, and this community journalist would assert illegal, talk that’s been taking placeinvolving the Trustees, Barre Library Association, and Board of Selectmen concerning the possible leaseor purchase of the library, it’s time to take a closer look at this skullduggery.In 2012 selectmen would convene in executive session citing paragraph 6 of the Open Meeting Law,
toconsider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real estate, if the chair declares that an open meeting
may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the public body

from Aprilthrough December.Was every meeting specific to the library? Who knows since these “public officials” reveal very little of the public’s business with no complaints from the denizens of this Hole. But do note this:
